Solid episode, but damn long wait for the last 3 (or really 2) episodes.

At least it's only about a month. It does feel a bit odd taking time off with only three episodes left yet it tends to happen during the holidays.

I'd assume that stations have very specific times they want their shows to end and space them out accordingly to correspond with how they want their ratings to fall in comparison with other stations.

Figure it's a combination of many factors. I have noticed longer running shows will burn about half of their season than be off until March. I know Grimm started so early last year it was off for four months than this year started it two months later.

I suspect they expected to be canceled after 3 episodes - this is Fox afterall. They probalby have to shoot some scenes or episodes to provide a quality arc. Love this show.

Ichabod is still running around in the same pair of skanky Revolutionary War dress. For Christmas Abby should give him a gift certificate at Sears.

I wondered where I'd seen John Noble, LOTR of course. He brings great gravity to his pseudo-mystic dialogue. He's a fantastic actor. The plot and themes of this film are mostly mumbo jumbo, but I'm enjoying to so far. It's cheesy and illogical, but it's lots of fun. Wonder if Wiseman will direct again for the finale? He's more suited to TV than film anyway, frankly. My DVR keeps pixelating and looking grainy when I record this show for some weird reason.

Wasn't my favorite episode but it was better than nothing... which is what we get now for over a month! It does seem silly to come back in January for only 3 new episodes. I hope they at least air them 3 weeks straight (no reruns in-between).

Ran through these an caught up. I liked how the doll tied in across several episodes.
My guess is the son isn't dead, but buried similar to Crane.
Show has improved, but is still lacking for me. I was excited with the Hessen and Masons, but they were all dismissed after the one episode. I think the show really could benefit from the presence of a live antagonist working against them. Otherwise it's literally a face of evil.
Hopefully a solid cliffhanger and the producers can make some adjustments in season 2.
