Last movie that disappointed you?
so this could be ongoing...
The Wolverine...love the character since i was a kid and wanted a theatrical movie of the character, but just so disappointed. i'm gonna give the extended cut a chance and see if i sway, but 2 movies and blah.

I watched it last night, but I wasn't "disappointed" in it. However, I wish they hadn't deviated that much from the original series and included the Viper. Much like Daredevil, the set pieces were there as it related to the comic panels. It was just a better acted and directed film.
Now the abomination that was the Red Dawn remake. Not only was that disappointing, it was downright insulting. There are barely any words to express what a piece of shit that movie was.

Hitchcock. The book it is based on is fascinating. I expected the movie to be similar in tone to something like Madmen. Instead, it was adequate. Not terrible, but there was no energy to it. Very bland. Every scene felt the same.

The last movie that really disappointed me was Bridesmaids. I didn't see it until it hit Blu-ray so the hype probably got to me a bit. However, not only was the movie not the least bit funny but the entire film was filled with completely unlikable characters.

i actually quite liked and was surprised by Hitchcock. i thought Mirren and Hopkins were good, as was ScarJo.

Special I.D. with Donnie Yen.
I thought it was going to be good like S.P.L and Flashpoint but it was pretty bad. The MMA fight scenes were ok but not up to the standards of what he did with the two previous movies I mentioned. The story was even worse.

Medium Cool
Theoretically a very interesting movie, with great talent all around- but what sounded interesting on paper translated into a very cold, obtuse logistical exercise.

Man of Steel. Biggest letdown in the past 10 years at least. And yes, for me it was way worse then Superman Returns.
Crap, I so wanted this to be another SPL or Flashpoint. Very sad to hear anout this.

I didn't hate it but to me Pacific Rim was kind of a disappointment. The action sequences were pretty cool but the actual story was pretty much non-existent. I expected more from it I guess. Also Star Trek Into Darkness looked awesome to me before it came out but the final product was very meh to me. Really was hoping it would have been more original than it was rather than a retread of previous Trek events.

Pacific Rim. I wasn't expecting a lot of originality from a movie that we all knew would basically be a tribute to Toho's Godzilla flicks, but Pacific Rim was just shockingly unimaginative. The human drama can be summed up as "cliche, cliche, cliche, cliche, cliche," and the monster battles can be summed up as "punch, punch, punch, punch, punch." Playing Tetris in line at the DMV is more stimulating.

The To Do List
Basically American Pie 2013. Was there any point to this movie taking place in the 90's? Also, Audrey Plaza is funny on Parks and Recreation, but she is tolerable in small doses. She cannot carry a comedy as the lead.

Just curious, did anyone here who said they were disappointed with or hated Man of Steel still buy the BD anyways because of some OCD Superman completest syndrome?
I've seen people here many times buy movies that they hated just because they were cheap or to be a completest.

Evil Dead - Obviously, it was fighting a losing battle being a remake of one of the greatest modern horror movies, but this was really dull.
Rock of Ages - All Star cast! 80s Tunes! Tony winner! How could it go so wrong? Just awful.
You guys are ruining my anticipation of seeing Man of Steel.

Haven't seen "Man of Steel", but surely it can't be as bad as what what I just saw:
The Amazingly Pointless Redundant and Boring Spiderman. I wanted to slit my wrists after 90 min and there was still 45 min left... Thankfully, I only paid $9 for the (what I thought would be) useless big ass box with the figurine, but setting said figurine on fire and then chopping it up with a butcher knife after the movie felt really good.

haven't seen anything good from the X franchise since X2
hoping for better from DOFP (credit scene was the best part of The Wolverine) but not setting my expectations high
