DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

Deep Discount is taking an extra 15% off all merchandise today only if you use the one-time code TURKEY. They have a lot of merchandise on sale in their Black Friday section, and the extra 15% makes some of the offers good.

As always, YMMV with them and you have to pick and choose real bargains from the rest of the stuff.

It seems to be one item per person on a lot of stuff, but they have Warner Archive box set titles as well, with the discount as well.

Sample prices (with coupon):

Maverick Season 2 $15.29
Sugarfoot Season 1 (WB Archive) $19.58

The site's been down for a while now. Will it be fixed in time to actually use it?

So the 15% off makes there prices only 5% more expensive than Amazon?

I went a little crazy. As a heads up, if anyone is interested in multidisc collections from Warner Archive, this is the opportunity for some of the best deals ever on many of them!!!

There are good deals on lots of Warner Archive titles. With the discount many of them are as low as $6.79.

Many thanks. I ended up having to place my 2013 BF orders with Deep Discount as Amazon's international shipping on many TV on DVD sets is horrendous. Items that used to be charged a flat $7 - 8 shipping per item are now $15 -30 totally negating any saving in media cost. By contrast Deep Discount only charges $3 per item including box sets so even if they charge a few dollars more for titles it works out to a significant saving. YMMV

Does anyone know if DD's Forbidden Hollywood 6 & 7 are pressed or burned?

Presumably pressed. Those that ordered it from importCDs last week got pressed discs, and they come from the same distribution center.

they should still be pressed. No way to say for sure until you get it, but I would say you're odds are excellent if getting it anyway other than Amazon.

I'll risk it then. The Prof is also right, the Wac prices are by far at an all time low.

They're out of stock on 6, so I'll just risk 7. Same question on 3, is it still pressed?

It's also really too bad they sold out of the Yes blu/cd combo I wanted they're price even before the 15 was the best out there.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

Yeah, I wish now I'd waited to pick up the WA titles I did during the ImportCD and DVDPlanet sales.
I'd wanted to avoid going on my usual buying binge at WA direct when they have the 5/$50, but most of what I wanted were fairly newer releases and I didn't want to risk them not being part of the sale (and of course, they are).
Spent about $10 more than I needed to on them...oh well.

What really surprises me is the WA sale on multi disc sets right now (3/$100) Many of these are $50 sets and the biggest discount in the past has only been about 25% off (so $37.50 + tax). On three sets that's another savings of $12. After the shipping charges, I paid about $35-38 each from ICD.
Live and learn.

7 has some of the most requested titles in this series.
I think 3 is still the retail version (it was released prior to the start of the MOD program).

It's still November 28th here, so that's some bullshit. I was finalizing my cart. Oh well. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

I e-mailed them mostly out of frustration, but it's absurd. The coupon was good only for a period of time given that that the stupid website was down for maintenance earlier as well.

Doubt anything will come of it but still ridiculous.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

You guys really need to read the conditions - or at least someone needs to always be sure to post them in the OP.

"12:01 am Central time."

Though, now that they are based out of Irvine, CA these deals should be going until Pacific Time.
Is that the part that is throwing people?

Yes. Well, me anyway. I figured it was 12:01am PST, not Central.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

I ran into the opposite at Radio Shack on line last night with the same results. 32 gb Flash Drives @ $7.99 starting at "Midnight". In that case, it turned out they meant PST. I was there at 9 PST. The price on the home page changed at 9 PM, but on the one item they forgot to change the actual price until about 9:30. Then the "free ship to store" feature was broken, & they kept trying to charge me shipping. Before that was fixed, they'd sold out.

At least give the customer what you're advertising. I didn't see the Central time, but friends in AZ tell me that this time of the year PST & Central time are identical.

I DESPISE Corporations.

Thanks for the tip! I went over to Warners and picked up some season sets I've had my eye on for a while
I usually don't purchase three multi-disc sets at the same time but this seems to be the best way to save money in the long run.
For example, last year, I purchased Eight is Enough season 2 for $50.00, and now I'm getting seasons 3 and 4 for $33.00 each.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

Yeah EiE S4 was one of the titles I bought at ImportCDs a couple weeks ago (along with Medical Center S3, Maverick S3, and Tarzan S2). Got EiE and MC already and there don't appear to be any problems (no loose discs, scratches, etc) but I would have much rather gotten them direct from WA, just for peace of mind in the future.
$33 is the best price they've ever had on these kinds of sets, so well worth stocking up now. After the holidays the deals on multi disc sets have been few and very far between.

MooMooMooMoo, I feel bad for ya, bro- you seemed to be one of the only people that was actually enthusiastically posting about buying something in the sale too.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

I had FH #7 & the Kino Blu-ray of the Penalty in my cart & was in process of purchasing when this came up, thanks!

Part of me still says these are the best prices available, & I probably would have been thrilled with the prices if I hadn't of known about the 15%. Part of me is furious.

Re: DD 15% Off 11/28 Only with Code

I wonder if WAC is getting close to a huge permanent price drop (as they should do for burned discs).
