Would Love to get STNG CS BUT way too many negative reports about very poor packaging and problems with discs not playing! Such a shame!

I can't speak for The Next Generation, but I can strongly advise against buying The Original Series on DVD. I ignored the warnings I read about the packaging, and I lived to regret it. The flimsy plastic trays get shattered in shipping, and the shards flying around scratch the hell out of the discs. Also, the first disc in each season set is completely exposed (they're double sided discs) and none of them would play for me at all because the scratches were so severe. I ultimately threw the sets in a drawer and upgraded to the Blu-ray sets, which have more traditional packaging that won't scratch the discs like a jackhammer. If you have a Blu-ray player, spend the extra money for those sets. If you don't, then wait until you do instead of wasting your money on the DVDs.
