Modern Family - "ClosetCon '13" - 11/20/13
"ClosetCon '13" - With some urging from Claire, Jay begrudgingly agrees to return to ClosetCon this year, and things get interesting when Jay is reunited with some old colleagues. Cam takes Mitch and Lily to the Tucker family farm for the first time and is excited to fold them into country life, that is until Grams pays an unexpected visit. And back at home, Phil, Gloria and the kids get into some mischief involving Jay's very delicate Apollo 13 spacecraft model, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Living in the Midwest you can hear them pretty much everywhere. Especially in the country with no buildings to block the sound.
I enjoyed the Apollo 13 stuff.

Not in true rural areas, no. I live in rural Wisconsin...no tornado sirens can ever be heard. "Rural" Des Moines doesn't count, thank you.

Cam and Mitch have really been getting under my skin in the past couple of seasons. The reason they were so enjoyable the first few years is that they weren't a stereotypical TV gay couple - now it seems that's all they are. Still, they weren't as bad here as they were in that wedding planning episode earlier this year.
I enjoyed the other stuff - although this was one of the lesser shows this season.

A call back to one of the first shows in the series, where Jay flies a model airplane into Phil's nose.

Home. Fucking. Run.
That was fantastic. The Apollo 13 stuff was solid gold. Farm Cam is the best Cam(Mitchell was too whiney though). Haley and Alex answering the door was good physical comedy. ClosetCon was light on laughs, but not bad.

While I still don't care for Lily.... She has had some good quips here and there... Like talking to Mitchell in last weeks episode where she made a comment and Mitchell responded "I know, girl."
