Quite a fun episode. Could be a really really good season.

An alligator is pulling a guy away by his head, before the opening credits even roll. And I'm laughing hysterically about using the music of

Boy, Zoe sang like a bird to those detectives once she thought the jig was up.

Looking forward to more of the Lange/Bassett/Bates scenes... I'm expecting some pretty juicy interplay with those characters. They've assembled a great cast this season, except for maybe Emma Roberts. Pretty girl, but her delivery always comes off flat to me -- especially when she's trying to play a bitch.

This episode was much better than last week's. The scene with Lange and the cops was great and so was the Basset and Bates scenes.

So far so good. Like in past seasons they're pulling from a few different horror subgenres (witchcraft, voodoo, telekinesis, Frankenstein) but they're doing a good job of making these elements feel like they belong together.

HAHAA way too fold under the investigation and confess to the entire thing!

I love they ratcheted up the funny and camp factor with this 2nd ep. I guess we finally have confirmation that American Idol's Stevie Nicks is a witch!

Nice sight gag with all those weaves set on fire at the barbershop! I'm looking forward to all the women playing dirty this season. All three headlining actresses Lange/Bates/Bassett have great chemistry.

Agree - no aliens so far. Yet with all those genres in play, it's the fate presented to LaLaurie of being enclosed in a coffin for eternity that ends up for me being the most frightening part of the show so far. I'm almost always reminded of Spoorloos/The Vanishing when it comes to being buried alive.

Much improved over opener. Excellent scenes of women talking--great to see Jessica Lange spar with Bates and Bassett. We were quitting watching if the second episode was as unfocused as the first, but no need now.

I'm a big fan of the two previous seasons. But so far I think this season has been better than the second season, and if it keeps the pace, it may be even better than the first season.

Damn. I guess Evan Peters and Emma Roberts are a couple. And she recently smacked him around. Celebrities are so exciting!
