I have an issue with something I bought and have tried to contact the seller to no avail. If I file a dispute will I immedialty get my money back or do I wait til he refunds me?

thanks

Re: paypal question

Paypal gives the other person between 7-10 days to respond to your dispute, haven't had a dispute in a while so I don't remember the exact time frame, but you have to file the dispute within 45 days. They can refund you, they can give their side, or they can just not respond at all. No matter what you have to wait the 7-10 days before Paypal will do anything and if the other person responds with their side it will take even longer to get your money back but they usually side with the buyer, if it's an Ebay purchase.

Re: paypal question

Correct, if Paypal decides in your favor they will either pay your directly and bill the seller or if the seller has money in their account Paypal will just debit it from them and give it to you.

Re: paypal question

Paypal takes forever. I use my personal credit card as my payment source through paypal and when I have an issue I just dispute through them. It is faster and they side with me.
