Once Upon a Time -- "Quite a Common Fairy" -- 10/13/13
Synopsis:
HOOK SUGGESTS TRACKING DOWN TINKER BELL TO HELP LOCATE PAN'S HIDEOUT, NEAL DEVISES A PLAN THAT COULD TRANSPORT HIM TO EMMA BY USING ONE OF ROBIN HOOD'S MOST PRECIOUS POSSESSIONS AND TINKER BELL OFFERS TO HELP REGINA IMPROVE HER LIFE, ON ABC'S "ONCE UPON A TIME"
"Quite a Common Fairy" - In their continuing quest to find Peter Pan's hideout and save Henry, Hook suggests tracking down Tinker Bell in the hope that she will lead them straight to his camp. Pan reveals to Henry why he has brought him to Neverland and in the Enchanted Forest, Neal has a plan that could transport him to Emma, but it would involve using one of Robin Hood's most precious possessions. Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Tinker Bell offers to help Regina improve her life, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
"Once Upon a Time" stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O'Donoghue as Hook, Michael Raymond-James as Baelfire/Neal Cassidy, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.
Guest starring are Keegan Connor Tracy as Mother Superior/Blue Fairy, Sarah Bolger as Aurora, Jamie Chung as Mulan, Sean Maguire as Robin Hood, Robbie Kay as Pan, Jason Burkart as Little John, Rose McIver as Tinker Bell, Raphael Alejandro as Roland, Parker Croft as Felix and Dominic Downer as knight.
"Quite a Common Fairy" was written by Jane Espenson and directed by Alex Zakrzewski.
On a side note, it was announced this week that Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas (Snow and Charming) are engaged in real life. Didn't realize they were a real life couple. That's great for them.

I enjoyed the episode overall but I find it very odd that Regina's soul mate is
And is it just me or did they imply that Mulan was actually in love with Sleeping Beauty and not Prince Philip?

Tinker Bell's reason for hating Regina seemed a little weak. I could understand it if Regina went back to the Blue Fairy and sold her out, but Tinker Bell should blame herself a lot more than Regina.

Both were very weird directions to take the story. I haven't been totally keeping up with Once, but is this the first hint that Mulan is a lesbian?

Wow totally missed that. She wanted to speak to Phillip so to me it seems obvious she was going to tell Phillip how she felt about him.

Yeah? I remember her telling Sleeping that she wanted to share news with her, but Sleeping cute her off. Don't know why she would tell Sleeping she loved the Prince before telling Prince himself?

Okay that's probably it, it's been over a week since I watched it. I thought it was "I have big news, is the Prince here?" like I have big news I need to talk to him not you. But maybe it was "I have big news(to share with you), is the Prince here(I don't want him to hear I want your vag)?"

Aurora: Mulan. How long have you been there? What are you doing?
Mulan: Just gathering my courage.
Aurora: What's going on? I'm so glad you're back.
Mulan: Is Phillip here?
Aurora: No. No. Shall I get him?
Mulan: No. That's unnecessary. It's you I want to talk to. Why are you smiling at me?
{Aurora drops bombshell that her and Phillip are expecting.}
She was either there to confess her love for Aurora or to ask Aurora to step aside and let her pursue Phillip. The baby news nixed both.

I thought she was there to perhaps confess her love but mainly say she was off to the Merry Men? Or was going to the Merry Men in reaction to the pregnancy?

Yup, the latter. Once Sleeping announced she was preggos, that killed Mulan and made up her mind to get far away from there.

Re: Once Upon a Time -- "Quite a Common Fairy" -- 10/13/13
Yeah, that was a weird turn since she had (as far as we know) never interacted with Aurora until Philip woke her up. But it is clear that she was there to confess her love for Aurora until the baby bomb was dropped. So she said she was joining Robin Hood's Merry Men.
I'm guessing in a later episode we'll get a Mulan centric flashback that places Aurora in the Shang role. Which is plausible since the show has employed gender bending of familiar characters before. Remember when Jack the Giant Killer turned out to be this hotty?
