South Park - "Informative Murder Porn" - 10/2/2013
Didn't see a thread for this already. This fell flat for me. It recalled the Warcraft episode but wasn't nearly as funny; maybe Minecraft doesn't lend itself as well (I don't really know anything about the game).
The nipple thing produced a couple laughs, although it got legitimately disturbing when they were touching each other's nips.
Overall, this season (all two episodes of it) has been disappointing.

South Park premiered during my freshman year of college. I've watched it all my life. I realized last night that I am now old. I will confess to a fondness for Dateline NBC's Friday night "murder porn" and I went through a phase last year when I would never miss it. Additionally I've never played Mindcraft or Minecraft (fuck I don't even know the name) and I have no idea what it is. I definitely felt for the first time last night that the show was lampooning parents and that I am one of those parents. Fuck I’m old.

The satiric stuff about cable companies was hilarious. I was practically crying with laughter when they first met the cable company rep.
They ran the joke about murder porn into the ground but as social commentary it was fairly accurate. You really need a passing familiarity with some of the shows on Investigation Discovery for the jokes to make sense.

this was infinitely better than the premiere. Randy standing in the hallway naked, cupping his junk, talking to Stan was fucking great.

I haven't watched South Park in years, but as a parent to a Minecraft-obsessed kid, I had to tune in to this one. It did not disappoint! I don't get the game either and the episode was hilarious.
Unfortunately I can't show this to my 9 year old.

So how do you tame a horse in Minecraft?

I thought this was one of the funniest episodes in recent memory... I was laughing pretty much start to finish.

I thought the cable stuff was the strongest. I enjoyed the minecraft references just because I'm familiar with the game, but it wasn't that funny and I imagine even less so for people who aren't familiar with it. The violent video games influencing kids/parents was a good premise but I was disappointed they didn't really do anything with it.
PS. You can't pick up another player and throw them down a well in minecraft.
