I saw this myself last night at Walmart, along with Get Smart and a few other WB Movie compilations sets as that is NOT a bad price to get all those Looney Tune volumes whatsoever, but they're also limited to I believe 2-3 per store and they're located by the video games on a bottom shelf, so you have to look around carefully to spot them.

I saw the complete Scooby Doo in the same display, so I'm assuming it was also $39.95.

Bob, thanks for mentioning that as I saw the Scooby Doo set myself in the cheap box as well for 40 bucks and there were some Warner Brothers movie compilations of dramas, musicals, comedies and action flicks in these thick boxes, all for about forty bucks too.

Quick question before I go hunting for this: are the collections stripped-down "just the toons" versions, or are all the extras form the original pressings present?

My first post.....yeaaaaaa, regerstered just to answer your question, & other talk forum, of course. But yeah, I bought the loony toons gift set, the get smart gift set & the scooby doo gift set for 140.00 total. Loony toons had all the special features that came with the stand alone sets. And the complete scooby doo & get smart sets had extra boins stuff too. At 40.00, all three were a real bargen.

Smurr, get it at the store as you're better off and remember, they're located in a weird section of the Video games part of the electronics department and some stores have them hidden here and there, so look carefully and yes, those are good bargains to be had, but again, avoid getting these sets online and get them cheaper at the brick and mortar locations near you.

I've been to three Wal-Marts so far with no luck (Pocatello, Blackfoot, Idaho Falls - Idaho). I still have one more to check out tonight, hope that they have it!

Visited the three Wal Marts in Lancaster county, found nada. Prior to finding this post, I likely saw the Scooby Doo set at one of them, but only that set, mixed in with the animated/childrens DVD run. Will be checking a couple additional stores this weekend.

If it helps, the Looney Tunes collection is in a large black cardboard display case about five feet tall. The sides are closed; only the front is open. There was some kind of Clint Eastwood set in the case as well; the Looney Tunes box was down at the very bottom where it could easily be overlooked (at least in the store I was in). The case was on a rear end cap by the video games, just opposite the wall of TVs.

I checked three Walmarts and only saw it in the third. I don't think every store has it.

Also, it's possible that certain stores have already gotten rid of the display. I mentioned this display two weeks ago in the Walmart Bargains thread here, so it's been around for a while, at least at some locations. The display has been gone from my store for about a week now.

My local wally world only had 3 of the sets. I bought one of them. I had vol 5 and gave that to my sil. My local sams club has the individual volumes for $30 each.

Went driving this afternoon and finally found the display at the fifth and final local Wal-Mart (East York). I got the last set. If I had $40 burning a hole in my pocket, I would have bought the Scooby Doo, set, too. I had actually not seen it before, but now won't forget the cool Mystery Machine packaging. Kudos to the OP, as I would never have found the Looney Tunes set in time without the tip.

As RedSkull described, this was a cardboard display at the rear of an aisle in the DVD section. I believe the top was red and white, advertising their layaway for Christmas (riiight!). If there were any Get Smart sets, those were long gone, and there was more than one empty spot. In addition to SD, what remained was "Roots: the Complete Collection", "Clint Eastwood: 35 Films 35 Years at Warner Bros", "Rome: The Complete Series", and many "Best of Warner Bros 20 Film Collection" (Musicals, Comedy, Romance, etc.) sets. Search Amazon (etc.) for details.

There's a new Wally's (2 months?) about 10 miles fropm my house so I left my morals in the car & checked it out.

I've never seen so many dvd's & blu-ray's in dump bins in my life. There were at least 3 $5 dvd bins, & 1 $7.88 blu bin; each holding somewhere between 1k-3k pieces. Mostly major label, mostly JUNK. I didn't see anything that motivated me to dig through.

I asked a clerk who did seem intelligent about the Warner assortment. He was aware of it, said he wanted the Clint Eastwood box for himself. Said hey had not gotten it; also said they had 2 displays in the backroom that they were not allowed to open for sevral more days (didn't know the exact day) & that they MIGHT be the Warner stuff.

On another forum I frequent someone posted that the display was out one day, & pulled off the floor the next. Wonder if it wasn't supposed to go out yet?
