I'm kind of liking it. Very interesting use of outcast row or whatever it is called. I don't have any favorites yet or strong dislike of anyone. I only know two of the returning people from past shows.

in the past I think it's usually at the merge and then they start it back up again and the next person comes back when there's like 5 left

Man, Colton is a foul, vile person. Between him & the ridiculous redemption island I may have to bail on this season.

From a distance at first I thought it was a guy and a woman. I was thinking, "Woah, I'm sure when their loved ones sees this they will have some explaining to do" but then saw who it was. Maybe they're trying to get Colton all worked up?

Speaking of Colton, even though he brings the drama, it's not fun to watch. Hopefully he'll be gone soon.

Oddly, I'm finding the returning players somewhat appealing, even Ar-ass.

And while I got really annoyed by Rupert when he was on every other season, he didn't really bother me this time, though he didn't get much of a chance either.

I much prefer separate reward and immunity challenges instead of a Redemption Island challenge. But I agree that the idea of swapping out, voting dynamics, etc. are putting a different spin on things.

I kinda like the Redemption Island aspect. Your tribe can't completely get rid of you. Also there's the strategy of purposely trying to get there... was't it Boston Rob that did that? Or Ozzy?

But, yeah, this new twist of having loved ones was a great idea. It should really get interesting after the merge. These alliances that are being formed may blow up when someone tries to bring a loved one into it (if they are still playing).

Ozzy did, I'm pretty sure Boston Rob could have begged to be voted out and none of the people he played with on his RI season would have done it.

Ugh Colton, I knew there was no way he was getting voted out with how much screen time they gave him.

Candice is strong competitor.

And while it's interesting that you can save a loved one at Redemption I wonder how actually useful it would be, as surely they will be an outsider on the tribe they join with no knowledge of alliances and stuff.

I wonder what happened with TVGN's "Survivor AfterShow" with Pavarti Shallow? They promoted it during the latest installment of the "Survivor Preview" that they run before each season and it turned up in thir schedule eventually. According to TV Guide Magazine, -and my DVR foir a few minutes there, -they were going to run each week's "Survivor" episode (much like they did with "Big Brother", followed by an hour-long "After Show". However, the TVGN website never mentioned the show. Now all signs of it have disappeared.
