Speaking of Fathom Events, what the fuck is up with them not having any actual movies for most of this year? Around now we're bombarded with commercials for some Halloween related movies, but the only thing close to a movie these days is some Rifftrax stuff.

Maybe they have a low turnout rate for movies.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the theaters they show programs in (Cinemark in my area) have already started their own program of showing classic/older films. They've probably decided to just stick with exclusive stuff at this point.
