They claim HD tv quality, 16:9 ration, direct view.
Have you seen it? Does it look impressive? Would you buy RCA?

I read in a magazine recently about a screen blanking problem.
I guess when watching DVD's the screen goes blank for about 2 seconds. It happens every 28 minutes. RCA is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. I would wait until it is fixed to get one.
Other than that problem the reviews have been positive, but I still don't know if I would buy an RCA set.

You know, I've always been kinda anti-RCA, Zenith, Magnovox, and all those brands, especially when it comes to TV. But I saw the RCA 38" at CC a couple of weeks ago and it blew it away. I could not believe how much better the picture was than the 46" Sony XBR400 sitting next to it. Both were playing "Bug's Life" on their own Tosh 5109's. The RCA was simply amazing. Not that the XBR400 was bad, it was just that the RCA was stunning. I still wouldn't buy it though because I am worried about quality problems, but I no longer doubt RCA's ability to produce good looking TVs.

I'm considering a sony 36 400xbr (?).
But I don't think it allows progressive scanning. I'm not sure it's a true HD ready tv. Plus it's 4:3.
