Comic Book Styled Steelbooks @ Fry's on sale
Fry's is offering this week all the steelbooks that have the comic book style drawn covers all for $8.99 each.
How collectible do you think these are?

Moderately, probably in the same range as those WB ones that almost everybody has. I have a couple myself, Incredible Hulk and Scott Pilgrim. I had wanted Hot Fuzz, Paul and Van Helsing but I went a different route and got Paul and Helsing from the UK with the same cover just as a really nice and thick slipcover rather than Steelbook. Hot Fuzz I got the UK Steelbook which I think looks a little bit nicer. So unfortunately unless I just want to get one to get one, I'm good on that front.

collectible? very, due to the neat matching art themes and the way people dig them. but valuable? way too mass produced to be worth much. in a few years, complete sealed SETS may go for 30-50% over value now, but the sheer amount of them, since they've been in damn near every best buy, wal-mart, costco, frys, and so on, mean saturation has been high enough to find their way into most collector's homes.

I have been trying to find the Shaun of the Dead one but I have had no luck finding any around here. Neither of the Best Buys have them and Wal-Mart did not carry them. Wish I could order one from Fry's, but it says in store only. Plus even if they did shipping, I don't know how they would package it in order to prevent it from getting damaged.
