Not happy with the development of Marco and the rich lady, seems like lame potential for some irritating telenovela-like drama.

Yeah, Cruz has not shown any issues at home or any other signs of stepping out of his marriage. Can't recall if the first episode when he was talking to the girl at the police station where he works if they were referencing something between them or if it was showing he was not interested. I was expecting him to push the wife away after a bit realizing she is involved with the complaint against him and with her late husband on the list from the serial killer. That was the only thing that really pulled me out. Not sure I want to see that kind of drama introduced in a series like this. Still hoping for some more character backgrounds to come out even if they are just references.

It's a cable drama, the male lead has to have at least one affair.
There's probably many examples, but it's seems like Walter White is the only one that hasn't gotten some strange.

I cracked up at that line. So random, but expected for Sonya.
Poor Jason Wiles. What a thankless role. He must really needed the work.
I liked how Marco's wife was so stunned at how attractive Sonya is.
Damnit to hell Marco!!! I thought he was an honorable Mexican cop. I guess getting seduced by the rich gold digger was his weakness.
The shooting was pretty nuts and that horse being murdered.

Yeah, they make Marco out to be an honorable mexican cop and that whole thing with the rich wife kinda pissed me off. Not to say, I wouldn't had tap that ass... but im far from honorable. =)
I'm not sure I am liking this show... I will continue to watch cause there is nothing else on. But after The Amercians, I feel like a big let down from FX.

Add me to the list that didn't like that scene.
But yeah, about the show, so far goo enough. But really far away from The Americans.
My wife keeps asking me how Sonya got that job. She says that there's no way she would be able to do that in real life. That was after the scene with the rich lady, when she says that her husband died, and Sonya only says "ohh", and Marco says he's sorry.

I'm still enjoying the show, but yeah was caught off-guard by Marco and the widow. After all though, since it's a cable drama, the male leads rarely walk the line.

Does Marco's wife work in the United States? I know they live in Mexico, but I was surprised to see her in an office with American co-workers.
I get a little confused with the back and forth border hopping. Some scenes I can't tell if they are in El Paso and which are in Mexico. Like when Matthew Lillard and his colleague went to Juarez and then they were at her family's house.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell, but I thought that scene was obvious they were in Mexico since they pretty much detailed their trip there when they left El Paso.

Chalk me up as another that disliked the Marco / rich wife hookup.
He's been set up as honorable, and they had zero chemistry before that moment (aside from Marco simply being sympathetic). My wife actually commented that that turn of character could be enough to make her stop watching... But whatever, I told her i don't think cheating is a big deal...
But I also like where this show is going overall. I'm definitely sticking with it.

But I think the confusion is intentional. I think they want to show that the two cities have more in common than they don't.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one totally annoyed by Marcos. I guess that might explain some of his wife's paranoia of him working with a somewhat attractive woman.
I like the reporter dude. Good toast he gave--at least that fit well with his character.

I also did not like Marco straying, but based on his interrogation scene, he does seem to have another side and way of doing things.

There has been NOTHING on the show to indicate that he is unfaithful or even leans toward it. He even rejected advances in previous episodes, and has come off as very noble.
So yes, it was completely out of left field. If this had happened a few episodes down the road, and there was at least a millisecond of setup, that would be a different story.
