Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

Let's go back to the 90s, for a fake band

Attention, Uncle Jesse fans: Hope you're sitting down.

Jesse Katsopolis – John Stamos's character on Full House – and his band, Jesse and the Rippers, are back ... and they're performing together again this Friday!

The group will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, PEOPLE confirmed, after Stamos posted a cryptic Instagram video of himself singing the theme song to his beloved 90s sitcom.

"Never thought I'd be singing THIS song," the actor wrote on Monday. And "Jesse Katsopolis" (a.k.a. @jesseandtheripp) has also been Tweeting in anticipation of the TV reunion.

"Have to dig this vest out of storage – may need soon," Katsopolis Tweeted Monday with a vintage photo of himself in a black leather vest, replete with era-appropriate white sneakers. (The Twitter feed also features a trove of photos from the era, including outtakes from the "Forever" video, and hints at another performance as well.)

Re: Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

I set my DVR for it out of curiosity. The three main leads from Full House seem to have a pretty good sense of humor about the show.

Hopefully this leads to a Zack Attack reunion.

I hope it's half as good as Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff doing the Fresh Prince theme on Graham Norton.

I saw The Beach Boys last Saturday and they were talking about Stamos.

Saget and Coulier need to be on the show as well....plus Lori Loughlin and Candice Bure.

If I can stay awake I might have to watch this. Will it be on towards the beginning or end of his show?

It would be funny if Saget and Coulier both showed up in character too.

Re: Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

This was great to see Stamos is actually a decent singer and Lori Loughlin appeared at the end and we got a little Saget cameo with him rocking out (in Danny Tanner lame fashion ) in the audience.

I'll check this out. Funny enough, my friend ran into Coulier at Noah's Bagels today. He's in town doing stand up.

Re: Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

Am I wrong or was their entire performance not played live? First thing that I noticed was the drummer's drumming and drum sounds were not lining up with what I was hearing. Stamos and the harmonies sounded a bit too clean as well. Not live?

Stamos really hit gene lotto. Unbelievable.

Richie Cannata (formerly of Billy Joel's band) on the Sax.

Lori Loughlin didn't do too poorly, either.

Re: Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

For some reason I think it would be cool if Saget, Stamos, and Coulier reunited for something. Not sure what exactly but I think it'd be hilarious to see those three playing parodies of their Full House characters or something. Especially given how dirty Saget is with his standup material.

Was this appearance in-continuity?

Did he do stand up before Full House and was dirty like he is now? Or did he turn to dirty material because he wanted to counter the squeaky clean image from Full House and America's Funniest Home videos?

Asking because I never cared before to find out, but since it was brought up here, I figured I'd ask.

Re: Jesse and the Rippers (Full House)

He always did dirty material, I remember being kind of shocked as a kid that he was playing the dad on Full House because I had seen him on HBO/Showtime and he was really dirty.

That video was great, but I wish Dave Coulier would have made a cameo with Bob Saget in the audience.

Who were the hold outs again? Fallon did give us (even if incomplete) a California Dreams reunion.

Tiffany was the lone hold out. Everyone else agreed to do it even though I don't recall if they invited Screech or not. Honestly I think it would be cool if Fallon reunites the cast of all the major TNBC shows.
