X-files 20th Anniversary panel at at Comic Con

Image spoilered for size.
The list of writers/producers appearing is a who's who list of some of the TV Folks out there:
David Amann - Without a Trace, Castle
Vince Gilligan - Breaking Bad
Howard Gordon - Homeland, 24
John Shiban - Supernatural, Hell on Wheels, Star Trek Enterprise, Vampire Diaries
Jim Wong - American Horror Story, The Event.
One of the best tv series out there. I'm thinking about doing a series re-watch to see how it has held up.
Both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have been confirmed for the "X-Files" 20th anniversary panel at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. The panel will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 3:30pm in Ballroom 20.
Although Gillian Anderson's attendance was confirmed by the Official Gillian Anderson website on Wednesday (June 26), this is the first full confirmation that Duchovny would in fact be joining her. The Unofficial SDCC blog first reported the news on Wednesday, July 3. Michael Schneider, the moderator of the panel, confirmed the news to the blog.
If last year's "Firefly" 10th anniversary is anything to go by, fans of "The X-Files" should plan to line up for Ballroom 20 early. SDCC hasn't announced when it will open lines on Wednesday (attendees can't even pick up passes before then), but it's likely that the line for "The X-Files" will begin shortly after that.

Gillian Anderson did a solo panel at DragonCon and I left it wondering if she was actually on the show.

However I think she would probably do better on a group panel instead of a solo panel, so I think she will do better at Comic-Con.

Hopefully they announce the date for the first few season of the show on BD or a complete series set.

Ever any talk about resurrecting the show in a next gen format?

I interviewed Frank Spotnitz in 2008 and asked him this very question...he said FOX has no interest in resurrecting their old TV franchises...probably one of the reasons it took so long for the "24" movie to get greenlit. It's also one of the reasons "I Want To Believe" got a measly $30 million budget.
I would think the only way FOX might change their minds is if the upcoming Blu-ray releases sold like hotcakes - but that's not going to happen because too many people can just stream the series on Netflix.

I go back and forth on whether I would want a new series or not. However, If they were to announce it's on HBO, I'd cream my pants.

The 2nd movie is underrated and I honestly think if it were a guest spot on the TV show proper Billy Connelly's performance would have received as much praise as Peter Boyle's.
It's a real shame that 2012 came and went with no alien invasion movie too.

Although I just saw this by former exec producer, James Wong:
Occult, which draws parallels to X-Files and Fringe, centers on Dolan (Lucas), an FBI agent who returns from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Eager to be back on the job, he is paired with Noa Blair (Collins), an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult. Together, they will solve cases for the newly formed occult crimes task force.
