Japanese import sites?
Are there any good sites that sell jap games/consoles without like a 75% markup on the stuff? Play-Asia is stupid overpriced and amazon.co.jp doesn't ship games stuff to the US.

www.cdjapan.co.jp I believe ships overseas.
Or there are sites that help you with overseas shipping like Tenso.com.
Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

Re: Japanese import sites?
I thought the console's region just depends on your Windows ID specifying which country. I assumed that was something you could change whenever.
I just checked the XBox FAQ and it looks like you can't just switch back and forth regions like you can with DVD or BD players. But it is possible.

Yeah, I was only referring to edf 2025. it's only 8 months! You figure by the time you get the game and the console, it will only be 7 months away!
ncsx does importing as well. Not sure how they compare to play-asia though. It's probably all about the same.

NCSX is the one I was referring to when I said 75% markup. Play-Asia doesn't even list the goddamn 4 gig Xbox without Kinect. There are stores with good price, but it's hard to know which are actually good to order from (i.e. service/reliability). nippon-yasan and hmv.co.jp both look interesting, but I'm not sure which one I want to risk a $500 order with.

Re: Japanese import sites?
So I found an Xbox for MSRP on nippon-yasan.com and ordered EDF 2025 the same day. I spent the extra money for FedEx shipping on both, which was advertised as 1-2 days. I had the game the next day, but Nippon-Yasan sat on my goddamn order for a week, then shippped FedEx International ECONOMY instead of AIR so it took another week to show up. I didn't pay $86 shipping to wait 2 fuckin weeks for my console. The only upside is they pack stuff to survive damn near anything.

Well, then, you have a very good case in arguing to get your $86 in shipping refunded due to their negligence. Do it.

Unfortunately, Amazon Japan doesn't ship a lot of their product outside of Japan. I'm guessing Yodobashi Camera doesn't either (too bad, I love that store!)
