Excellent 1st season. One of the biggest surprises for a basic cable series.

Very good season finale with a good surprised at the end. I hope next season is good. Vera's acting was great in this episode and I hope she gets an Emmy nod.

I'm rooting more for Freddy, especially after that scene in the teacher's house.

Vera was insanely good in this show. Great show all way around. I like how plots are resolved and the creepiness just keeps rising and rising. And Emma is hotter than Bradley but whatever.

The town they live in in the tv show is different from the movie isn't it? Cause I always thought they lived in California but like NoCal.

The teacher was, indeed, hot! And Emma was absolutely gorgeous at the dance.

I really liked the small bit of background music at the end of the scene where Maggie Summers was at the motel to warn Norma about Abernathy. The strings were very 'Psycho'esque.

Great episode, but it seemed like there were a 'ton' of commercials. Also, 2014 is a long wait for more of this. Sooooo happy with the way this series went, despite initial reservations.

Oh, and "MOTHER! I need some black socks."

I still feel like the Asian girl is a loose string. Zack came back and said he shot her in the woods, but that feels like a cheap dismissal. I mean, she was the driving force for Norman and Emma getting together and now they kill her off screen and that's that?

Also, Norman should be dead to rights on the teacher's murder. He was in her car bleeding and she took care of him in the house. His DNA is everywhere.

Or, Norman could have run out when his hallucination became too strong. Could there be a reason the murder wasn't shown? The ambiguity was pretty overt. It could have been Eric, whom she was arguing with on the phone earlier. Another former/current student?

Poor Miss Watson. I'm actually disappointed they decided to kill her off. I found her and Norman's scenes together fascinating. Also, did anyone else notice that it appears Miss Watson was Bradley's Dad's 'B'? When the camera panned down on her at the end you can clearly see a 'B' necklace.


Questions...questions...

Finger's crossed Vera gets a well deserved Emmy nod. Can't wait for season 2!

Kind of rooting for Norman to stay with Emma so maybe he would not eventually go psycho.

I hope it returns in Jan or Feb 2014 and it belongs in the Winter.

Maybe they shoot the series in Vancouver?

That was such a good episode. I cannot believe that was the season finale. I am none too happy about waiting a long time for more.

Everyone on this show is great, especially Farmiga & Highmore. However, putting them together in a scene is where the magic really happens.

RIP Miss Watson. You and your odd scenes with Norman will be missed.

Really happy with this first season. It wasn't anything like I guessed it would be, but it sure was entertaining.

Its funny to me how the two shows I thought were bad ideas (Bates & Hannibal) and would suck ended up being some of the best stuff of the season. And on the other hand, one I was most excited for (The Following) ended up sucking the most.

What's with all the nerds being so hot lately? Emma is much better looking than Bradley. I don't get how someone in high school could look at her and not find her attractive, just because shes got a oxygen tank. Oh well...

I liked it but it didn't feel like a finale per se. I really hope that next season they get abit more into the mythology of the whole town and its seedy underbelly. Like someone else pointed out, the whole storyline with the Asian girls felt like a loose string. I'm looking forward to next season. And yes, Emma is waaaay better looking than Bradley.

Both had prequels I didn't care for, so I feared they would tread down the same paths but damn... These shows have both perfected the art of using source-material familiarity to maximize suspense and creepiness, yet you still never really know where they are going with the story. These shows never coast on the recognition, but they're aware of it and know we're aware of it and use the inevitable nature of these characters to full advantage.

I love how this show has played out Norma's mental state slowly unraveling and the gradual way Norman is taken into her undertow. The restraint here... just enough to get under my skin and make me uncomfortable, yet despite the things they've done (and more importantly, will do), I'm still rooting for them.

Anyway, I dug the finale. Hopefully gets a 13-episode order for season 2. 10 went by too quickly.
