Best Buy DOTD - Harry Potter Wizard's Collection $199.99
Best price yet. Thought this was an Amazon exclusive. I've never seen this set go below $300, I just hope Amazon finally lowers it now.

I've been debating this for a long time. I passed when Amazon had it for $250. I never purchased any of the Ultimate Editions because they were priced so high.
I have a $100 promotional code for Best Buy that has to be used in the next 2 weeks, so I might use it on this.

Exactly ... and if you buy the Ultimate Editions independently @ anywhere between $20 to $40+ a film/set, it balances out, but this set also includes the 3D versions of 7p1 and 7p2 and the Ultraviolet copies, plus the various physical extras.

I set my maximum price to buy this at $150, but seeing as how my Costco has stopped carrying it, my local Best Buys have run out and it IS limited, to some extent, I went ahead and ordered it. I first called the various Best Buys in my area to see if they had any in stock to pricematch AND honor the $25 gift card for $100+ Blu-ray purchase promo, but they all were sold out. I did use my Discover Card through the DC website, so I will get $10 Cashback Bonus reward money, so I see this as a $205 total purchase ($25.62 each movie).

I pulled the trigger too.
Even though I hear a smaller package of these discs is being released at a cheaper price, I assume cheaper to be in reference to the $500 MSRP of this set, maybe making it as low as $300 or $250 ... best case maybe matching this $200 price.
After the $100 promo code and $50 in gift cards, it was only $50 out of my pocket which I might be able to get back from selling my vanilla discs and 3D copies.

Do you like Harry Potter? Do you just want one set that has everything? Do you already own all the other sets and you're fine with those? More info on what you have and want/need/like would help.
For me, I sold off the ultimates I had and got this and now I don't have to worry about not having HP crap anymore and it's in one convenient box that's pretty big, super heavy and doesn't fit on any shelf, so it constantly moves around until I find a place for it.

Depends.
Personally, I'm opting for the Ultimate Edition route as I have all but one of them so far. I just like the packaging of the UE's. If you're more into a different packaging and want a full-spread display and you have other HP merchandise, then this $200 set would probably benefit you.
And then there's the 3D thing. For whatever that's worth.

I kinda want this because it is pretty cool and eventually it will go OOP and sell for fairly big bucks. But I've never seen the movies past #2, even though I own them all w/ the 3D versions. However if I had a $100 promo code that expires in 2 weeks, I would've jumped on it. Great way to maximize the savings flix1.

My set arrived today packed well in a box multiple "Fragile" labels on it. Have not yet opened it, but Best Buy did well on this one.

A quick aside -- at least see the 3rd one. It's probably the best, certainly the most interesting directed.

They might have just shipped it out in the box it came in. That's how mine was and the same with other similarly super sized type movie sets.

Haven't got mine yet either but the UPS tracking says by end of Monday. I hope to be able to find a good place to display it. I think the price was right but no matter what they sell it for if the smaller package planned for these discs has extended cuts for the last 6 movies I'll be a bit upset. I guess I'll be selling the UV code (as always) since that's the only thing in the set I have NO use for. Not sure what to ask for it though.

As an aside, when I received The Walking Dead S2 Zombie Head Edition, I got the shipping box which had the retail box inside (Kudos to Anchor Bay). Warner Brothers does does do an especially good job with their sets.

I've been wanting to get this for my wife and I MIGHT bite at this price. What I really want though is a version of the set without all of the ridiculous crap. Hopefully this price drop is designed to clear out the remaining sets so that they can get a proper set out for this Christmas.
EDIT: Never mind. I see that the price has already gone back up.
