Arrow -- "Darkness on the Edge of Town" -- 5/08/13
Synopsis:
CAN OLIVER OUTWIT OR OUTFIGHT THE DARK ARCHER TO SAVE THE CITY? -
With the Undertaking days away, Malcolm (guest star John Barrowman) dons his black hood to conclude business with seismologist Dr. Brion Markov (guest star Eric Floyd) and his team. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Moira (Susanna Thompson) entertain a number of surprise - and mostly unwelcome - visitors. Hooded confrontations at home and the Meryln Global Group reveal dark secrets. Meanwhile, Roy (guest star Colton Haynes) and Thea (Willa Holland) are still looking out for a hero. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) makes a decision after Tommy's (Colin Donnell) revelation. In a flashback to the island, Oliver, Slade (guest star Manu Bennett) and Shado (guest star Celina Jade) struggle to prevent Fyers (guest star Sebastian Dunn) from shooting a Ferris Air jet out of the sky. Paul Blackthorne and David Ramsey also star. Roger Cross and Bryon Mann also guest star. John Behring directed the episode written by Drew Z. Greenberg & Wendy Mericle (#122).

Yao Fei go bye-bye.
Ollie's a sociopath. On the one hand he tells Tommy he wants nothing to do with Laurel, then immediately beds her (right by an open window for our enjoyment no less).
Damn you Malcolm Merlyn. He's got Ollie's number. Takes him out fairly easily both times they've met. (Have to find out why he's so upset Ollie's Green Arrow though).

That was a jerk move saying he didn't want the girl and then beds her. Sorry to see Walter go as soon as he got back but you could see it coming.

From how I understood it he first said that based on believing he will need to be Green Arrow (calling him that) for the foreseeable future and then later finds out the main goal is too stop the undertaking (that was not a surprise on what that was right? Because we all knew?) and once that is done he will no longer need to be Green Arrow and can lead a normal life.

Man, what a dickhead move by Ollie. And of course Tommy walks by.
The fight scene between Malcolm and Ollie was pretty cool. I can't imagine that Malcolm survives the season knowing that Ollie is the vigilante now.
I'd love to meet a hot nerdy blonde like Felicity. She looked really good. She has chemistry with Ollie.
They really set up the finale with alot going into it, especially with the weapon missing.

Good episode.
Too bad they killed off Brion Markov already. Guess no Geo-Force appearance.

The rest in the group first thought I meant in the DC comics this week until I told them it was a Arrow reference.
But we should start letter writing for Terra to show up.

I don't think Walter is done but what role he plays next IDK. For the family story line to continue there will need to be a major confrontation between him and Moira. Maybe over control of Queen Enterprises.

How was there not a mob of people staring at Oliver and Laurel hooking up? That would have been awesome if it turned into that scene with Bill Macy and Ricky Jay in Boogie Nights.

Yeah, seems like they are really setting Tommy up to take over for his dad, should anything happen to him.
I thought this was one of the better episodes of the season.

Green Lantern Ready to Guest Star on Arrow?
If the show's executive producer Marc Guggenheim is to be believed, you may see a connection to the Brave and the Bold comics in upcoming episodes of Arrow
Guggenheim's interview on Crave's SuperheroHype website indicates crossover elements from Green Lantern continuity within Arrow.
"If all goes according to plan, when you see the Ferris Air logo later in the season, it will be the same logo that we established in the movie. I like tips of the hat." – Marc Guggenheim
And Hal Jordan (or Kyle Rayner or John Stewart or whoever) may not be the only potential super-powered guest stars coming — Guggenheim goes on to say he and the staff are trying to figure out ways for other DC Universe characters to exist within the Arrow universe.

i just don't see how Tommy has time to get trained to be an ass kicker like his dad. didn't Malcolm say he was away for 5 years?
whenever Thea and Ollie are hands distance apart i await them leaning in to start serious smooching.
RIP Ollie's bow.

Calling Ollie the "Vigilante" is the dumbest move on television since Smallville came up with the "Blur" name for Clark Kent.
