Yup an HD Re-release of Kingdom Hearts is coming 9/10/13. Amazingly (and stupidly) it doesn't include KH2. That's a big disappointment to me as I liked 2 better than 1 (well, after the first few hours anyway).

Awesome. SquareEnix is also to release Final Fantasy X and X-2 both HD on one disc. No date but should come out this year.

Too bad it doesn't include KH2. They will prolly do a 2.5 remix and include the other handheld releases that are missing on this one.

With the update to the camera controls, I'll finally be able to get through this one. KH was the only game I remember returning within the 7 day window at EB. Controlling the camera with the shoulder buttons was archaic at that point. KH2 was one of my favorite PS2 games.

I had forgotten I ordered this until it showed up on the doorstep today. A pleasant surprise and one that will surely finally kill my OG 60gb fatty PS3 after years of non-use.

The girls have been watching me play, but we only made it to Traverse Town after the extended tutorial on Destiny Islands. It's really nice to be back.

Granted, I haven't played much but the HD definitely helps, mostly in the backgrounds and more static textures. The engine itself, notably the water effects, still show early PS2-era quality, just up-rezzed.

I really am looking forward to finishing this again and finally playing all the way through Re:Chain after giving up on the GBA version and then never actually playing the PS2 release still tucked away somewhere.

Sucks it only has the cutscenes from 358/2 Days as I never gave that much of a chance on the DS, but in reality, I'll probably be tired of the disc by then anyway.

Bring on KH2.5 next year and KH3 in 2015!

Got my copy today as well. I've barely started it, but it looks great. Love the LE packaging (that the folks at CAG were freaking out and canceling their pre-orders over). It's like the Warner Brothers LE digibooks, but with a slipcover. I think it looks great.
Piñata, if you got it from Amazon, be sure to check your email. They sent a code for a dynamic theme that's not very dynamic, but still cool for KH fans.

...then they announce FFXV-2 and FFXV-3 to come out before KH3, so you'll be close to 50.

It's available in the PSN Store for $1.99, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Just use it already!

My copy from Amazon won't come til either this Friday or next Tuesday.

Oh, well I'm still playing Diablo 3 so no worry. Great game so far.

The artbook is the case for the disc, it is a G1 sized Digibook.

My case came banged up from Amazon. This is the second item of the last three from them that has arrived dinged up or bent to hell. As a Prime member I am a bit disappointed.

I was going to pick this up by with GTAV next week I held off thinking that this would just sit on the shelf. I'll need to remember to circle back for this in a few months.

As an Amazon Prime member, my copy didn't ship until release date. It's on track to be here tomorrow (ugh).

I had my friend who manages a GameStop hold me a copy of the limited edition as they had a spare one --- in pristine condition and everything. When my Amazon order finally arrives, I'm just going to return it back to GameStop.

Yeah. Fuck me for expecting to have a game that I wanted to play on release date, scheduling time out specifically to play the game (especially before GTAV), having a friend help me out with getting the edition of the game I wanted, and being able to return a sealed and unopened copy of the game whenever it arrives.

Either way, a copy gets returned to Amazon or GameStop. Someone gets screwed over in the process. I'm choosing to screw over the more deserving company? I didn't know we all became saviors of GameStop overnight.

I've got this, but I have no idea when I'm going to be able to play it. I need to finish up Saints Row IV so I can play GTA V next week. I wish I had a month in-between to play this since that's going to be a rough transition.

I forgot how much the initial controls SUUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!! Took about two hours of playtime before I got the handy-dandy "Dodge Roll" skill. Now at least I can combat reasonably well. And, for some reason, I forgot or it wasn't explained properly that you have to HOLD R1 to maintain a lock on an enemy. That probably would have made wandering around Traverse Town looking for D&G a lot less annoying.

It's a really wonky camera too. On that island, the camera kept wanting to go hide in a cave or something while Sora was walking around. I love this game once it gets going, but damn it starts slowly
