I must have been in a bad mood, because I didn't find this episode particularly funny. Seems to me that they either hit it out of the park or fail miserably with most of the shows this season.

I think the only time I laughed this episode was the final scene.
Haley: why can't you pee straight?
Luke: I'm doing a great job from that far back.

By and large, I felt this episode was a pretty decent letdown. There were some good lines, but in general, I agree that this season has been much more hit and miss than I recall any other seasons.
That said, I really hope Lilly follows Luke's progression. As far as being a crappy character that emerges as a great one. Luke's role is well-written and very ably performed by the actor. I think it's safe to say that he's getting close to surpassing Phil as the best character on the show, even if he doesn't have as much screen time.

I thought it was pretty good. Even when it's not firing on all cylinders, this show is funny and has a lot of heart.
I burst out laughing during Phil's career day presentation. When Gil interrupts and video Phil looks at him and starts talking, I thought that was one of the best scenes this season.
