Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

Obvious Spoilers here from Storm of Swords (Book 3). Don't read if you have not finished the entire book.

So how do we end Season 3?

Spoiler:
Do we need me a pick me up at the end of Season 3? Maybe seeing Beric Dondarion sacrificing himself and have UnCat rise/screaming?

RW in episode 9...

And exactly what you said for the last scene of episode 10.

Episode 9 should be
Spoiler:
The Red Wedding

Episode 10 should be
Spoiler:
Tyrion/Sansa wedding with Joffrey's death

What you spoiled should be next season's last scene. Just like it is in the books.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

Do we really need spoiler tags in a spoiler thread?
Spoiler:
I think Red Wedding will be ep 9 and the final Joffery's death.
The last ep for next season and the end of the book should be the fall and rise of the Stark sisters.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

Spoiler:
no way we have the RW and joff die this season. I think he goes early next season when non book people aren't expecting it, like episode 1 or 2. I saw this list on another forum, it'd be pretty close to my guesses..
Season 3
- Sansa/Tyrion wedding - Episode 8
- Jamie saves Brienne - Episode 8
- Red Wedding - Episode 9
- First Battle of the wall - Episode 10 (cliffhanger... get it? yeah, not that funny)
- Arya leaves Westeros
- First encounter with Cold Hands

I agree with notion that
Spoiler:
having purple wedding in episode 10 puts way too much into season 3. Leave purple wedding for season 4.

My reason for
Spoiler:
UnCat in ep 10 is several, if done right can be a totally terrifying/epic scene, kind of gives a small 'win' for the Starks, and allows the 'big' event of purple wedding be in season 4

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

The last scene in the book should be the last scene of season 4.

Spoiler:
UnCat would probably have the most impact a full season after RW.

I am not sure how you do the PW without introducing the Martells but they are hinting at a Sansa escape. Maybe she escapes her own wedding in the TV show.

Yeah, there's no way the PW happens till Season 4. They're burning through A Storm of Swords pretty fast, but not that fast. The final episode will be the fall of Yunkai mainly. But I'd also love to see the Wildling attack at the Wall (the small attack from the south).

They need to hold off on
Spoiler:
UnCat
until the end of season four. That would maximize the impact and be a major surprise. Since we're on the topic, I never could figure out how
Spoiler:
UnCat came into being.
I'm reading Feast for Crows and am less than 200 pages from the end with no explanation offered.

I also think the big attack at the Wall where
Spoiler:
Stannis gets involved
won't be until the next to last ep. of season four. That's something that stretched over several chapters in the book and could be just as epic an episode as Blackwater. The creators have said their goal for the series was to get to the major points of Storm, so I doubt they will skimp on this one.

GRRM is writing the script for episode 4.2 and it's largely speculated that it will contain
Spoiler:
Joffrey's wedding
. I can't think of anything else so significant that could happen so early in the season.

Thoros os Myr found her discarded in the river and brought her back to life, sort of.

I haven't read past the third book yet, but everything I've gathered so far would indicate
Spoiler:
that it's basically the same "Lord of Light" magic that was used to bring the Lord of Lightning back from death several times, including after his battle with the Hound. It's not exactly a perfect healing, but it's enough to bring someone back. I assume the Brotherhood saw her floating down river, pulled her out, and did their revivification thing.

To do that Beric Dondarrion voluntarily gave up his life, and stayed dead this time, for her resurrection.

I really really hope that it's the
Spoiler:
red wedding... results included
. That would be the perfect end to the season.

That's pretty much a given. They've even been using that song to promote this season in the tv spots.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

I can't wait to see the episode thread for Episode 9. It's going to go nuts! I was assuming Purple Wedding would be 10, but after searching the episode title for 10, I agree, it's not going to happen until next year. UnCat definitely will be sometime next season.

I see George RR Martin wrote episode 7 "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" - Wonder what events will happen there. Despite having read ASoS a couple times, some of the details become fuzzy.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 3 - How will it end? (Book 3 Spoilers!)

I still think great way to end the Red Wedding ep. would be
Spoiler:
immediately after Cat is killed cutting to Arya and the Hound in midst of the outdoor melee . Arya begins running toward the camera with the hound chasing her. We see him raise his weapon and begin to bring it down as he is upon then..cut to black as we hear the "thunk."
Of course all will be resolved next ep., but imagine if that was how the season ended!

Ah yes! Thanks. One of my favorite things about the books is (and I'll spoiler this because it involves some character stuff that goes past book 3)
Spoiler:
Jamie's 180 degree turn from being a despicable villain to one of the more sympathetic characters in the story
