Tricked - Trailer [VOSTE] by Filmosphere

Harnessing the power of creative crowd-sourcing, Paul Verhoeven (Robocop, Basic Instinct) takes on traditional methods of filmmaking by letting the public write most of his next movie. Tricked follows Verhoeven as he navigates the challenges of developing a mass-produced script, then puts the results on screen. Verhoeven’s newest movie, it turns out, follows wealthy patriarch Remco, whose extramarital and business affairs prove more costly than expected. Yet, as his world unravels, a clever web of deceit is revealed.

This seems like a weird project called "Entertainment Experience". The project consisted of an 8-part script, composed of contributions from audience participants—accompanied with an alternate, "user-generated", version.

Very, very odd hearing about the creative process that brought this movie about. Verhoeven looks like he remains ever the provocateur, I've been waiting a while for new work from him, it's been a while since his last film. I've learned that if you can get around some of his excesses, his films are sometimes very intelligent and interesting. Gotta love the frankness European films have about sexuality, you probably wouldn't see lines like that in an American trailer . I wish someone would rerelease his early stuff that Anchor Bay put out once upon a time, I'm interested in some of it, for rentals at the very least.

So do I, that is some good stuff. I had seen The 4th Man & Soldier of Orange on cable when I was younger. I slept on that box set and before you know it : OOP.

Still hoping they hire Verhoeven for the 50 Shades of Grey adaptation. That split second shot with the pregnant girl towards the end shows he's still not afraid to go certain place.

For a brief period, I think they were talking about Bret Easton Ellis for the 50SOG screenplay. I haven't read the books, but I thought the proposition sounded a bit intriguing. But apparently it fell through.

Do we really need a movie of 50 Shades of Grey? It is already hard enough for us married guys to try and live up to this portrayed fantasy world that the book has introduced to our wives and a movie would make it worse.

Re: Tricked (2013, D: Paul Verhoeven)

This is out now via digital platforms. It's on Amazon to buy in HD for $9.99 and $4.99 for the HD rental and that's a 72 hour rental.

http://www.amazon.com/Paul-Verhoeven...=tricked+movie

I think it's getting a KINO release on BD at some point but them new release KINOS carry a premium. I'm tempted to blind buy it for the $9.99.

It's also available on VUDU but the HDX copy is $13.99. The rental price is still the same.

The 50 Shades of Grey talk is interesting... in retrospect.
