Synopsis:

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate some recent vampire kills and are surprised to learn Krissy Chambers (guest star Madison McLaughlin) is involved. They find Krissy and learn her father was killed and she's been taken in by a man named Victor (guest star Adrian Hough), who has taken in a group of orphan kids to teach them how to hunt. Victor is helping the teenagers find the vampires who took their parents so they can get revenge. Sam is intrigued by Victor's method of giving the teenagers a home life as well as a hunting life, but Dean is suspicious of Victor's motives. John F. Showalter directed the episode written by Adam Glass (#818).

I really enjoyed this epsiode...this season so far has been great! I'm glad they're back to sprinkling in these kind of stories while still focusing on the main arc

I thought this was a decent episode. At first it felt like another backdoor pilot (until the Prof X character died). I really like the young actress who played, uh, the brunette girl from the previous episode.

and now, Eye of the Tiger

I SEARCHED "SUPERNATURAL" and all the older episodes popped up on page 1, so I assumed the latest one wasn't there.

I think for some shows like Supernatural, one long-running thread for the entire season makes more sense than a new thread for each episode. Supernatural really hasn't had a huge following here since Kripke left as showrunner. Most people don't want to reply to a thread with only one or two posts in it.

Re: Supernatural -- "Freaks and Geeks" -- 3/27/13

I thought this was an OK episode. It started strong but I thought the ending was weak. I liked the twist that a hunter had gone a bit crazy and started trying to make a new generation of hunters. The only thing that seemed like too much of a stretch was him killing the families (including another hunter) to make this new generation. I would've liked it better if he only did the setups with the vampire as training AFTER they were living with him to just given them closure on their loss.

And that the main season arc has been interesting this year (unlike last year), so I actually find the stand-alone episodes like this one to be a waste (unlike last year) and want to see more on the main arc instead.

Laughed at him saying 'after that Leviathan fiasco'.

So true.
