"The Wow Factor" - Claire and Cam are entrenched in the house flip, but when they hit an impasse on a big landscaping decision, a "neutral" third party is brought in - Pam (guest star Wendi McLendon-Covey), the lesbian mom from Lily's school. Meanwhile, Phil decides to teach the kids basic fix-it skills around the house; Gloria spends some quality one-on-one time with Manny, leaving Jay alone with baby Joe; and Mitch helps Lily deal with a schoolyard bully, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Episode 18 of 24

Almost forgot about this show. It's been 4 weeks since the last new episode.

I love Luke's comment about Lily having emotionless eyes. It's as if the writers of the show read this forum.

Not the strongest. Loved Luke's training at the end.

Claire trying to sway Cam's lesbian friend would have worked better 3 seasons ago when Bowen wasn't anorexic.

Does Darrell Sheets make a cameo?

I thought this was a strong episode...the only storyline I didn't care for was the Claire/Cameron one.

Luke again steals the show..."You're NEVER off the court!"

Hi, i need little help again. I didn't understand the pun in this conversation. (2.59)

Jay: Careful. Keep that up, he'll have to hit "numero dos" when he calls the DMV.

Gloria: By the time he's old enough to call, it will be "numero uno."

Essentially...when you call places now it prompts you to Press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish. Jay doesn't want the kid to only speak English. And Gloria is stating that Spanish is going to be more popular than English in the future.

And mmmmm. Clemmy still got it.

I wish they gave her the poses Claire was trying to pull off.

Luke was priceless in this one. Good episode overall. Though I kept thinking Phil's daughters were scamming him to make him do the work.

Besides Luke, I hardly cracked even a smile this episode. That's a shame since I use to laugh all the way through them.

Nothing about Jay taking Joe into a movie theater?

Also it's not a pun. It's a straight forward joke that requires everyday knowledge of America's service providers.--Banks, product help lines, Government run facilities, etc.

Well he was asleep. And at least Claire's friend took him out so he wouldn't bother anyone. Better than most "baby in a movie theater" experiences.

At this point they could get rid of everyone but Luke and Phil and have a decent show.

Re: Modern Family -- "The Wow Factor" -- 3/27/13

I feel like the people in the Community thread that say that show is still good, because I really enjoyed this episode. Maybe it's because I have different expectations for Modern Family, but this ep was solid to me. The only thing that bothered me was the fountains looked really dumb. I would not want half of my backyard taken up by those things.

Luke and Phil continue to be gold though. Luke is like The Hulk. When you rewatch Avengers you're really just waiting for him to show up.

The scene after the credits with Luke and Mitch might've been the best thing this whole season.

The fountains did look dumb, but the goldfish being spit out had me busting.

That kid is killing it. I look forward to his scenes each episode.
