Billy Joel sings with a student at a Q&A
Didn't see this posted so apologies if it's somewhere else but Billy Joel was at a Q&A at Vanderbilt and a student asked if he could play "New York State of Mind" with Joel. Joel said yes, and it's pretty incredible:

I've had the opportunity to meet a few of my musical idols and always think how fun it would be to sing with them. But I know I'd fuck up the words or harmonies or something. This kid just destroys it.

That was amazing. I've heard several of his Q&As and they're always entertaining, but that was really something special. He might be going through a late career boost -- he totally killed it in the 12-12-12 Concert.

It kills me that we can't get more music from this man. Obviously he can still sing. Maybe we could do a kickstarter to raise a billion dollars to get him to unretire and make a new album.

NFW. Absolutely yes, and was probably the coolest four minutes of my life. The band signed a copy of the setlist for me and thanked me for my support.
Really amazing experience. The band, while having some modest success, in no Billy Joel, so this guy wins
