Bands/Artists you hated..........now you can't get enough of.

We all have these. In my case, I guess it's about getting older and appreciating songs/music my parents listened to. Now, I can't get enough of........Electric Light Orchestra. I dismissed them as simple pop back in the day but damn if their music isn't sensational.

So what's yours?

Also, I'm liking/discovering some Olivia Newton John songs. She was quite the looker, too. (moreso 70's not 80's ONJ) Please keep this on the downlow.

Fleetwood Mac for me.

I grew up in the 80's and was in High School in the 90's. Fleetwood Mac was a band that your parents friends listened to in their Volvo. Clinton used their music in his campaign. They were completely uncool.

Now that we've passed out of that era I can listen to them out of context and really hear the quality.

The Beatles - Never saw the big deal for a long time, and then suddenly I couldn't stop listening to their music. I'm a huge fan now.

The Scorpions - I listen to more and more of them over the years.

Van Halen - Used to only like Hot for Teacher, now I love their other stuff.

Rush - Never liked their style of music, now I listen to songs like Subdivision and YYZ almost non-stop.

Eighties hair metal. I was allergic to it in the actual eighties, now a combination of nostalgia and the realization that the best it it is great, unpretentious pop has put Crue and Poison in my playlist.

I can't really think of a specific artist but a few years or so ago I would have never thought that I would be able to buy a score for a movie and listen to it by itself and really enjoy it. Now I do occasionally like to pick certain ones up though and do really enjoy them.

The Sounds, but not cuz I hated them early on, I just thought they were okay or neat at the time. First saw their video on the dvd for Final Destination 2 like 10 years ago and would catch an occasional single here and there and then I heard one of their latest tracks and noticed that it was very trance heavy and was blown away. I scooped up the rest of the discography and have been watching them on youtube/listening to them non-stop for over a week. I love the newer mesh of new wave/synth/trance in their tracks.

I read that their 5th album will drop this year and they will begin a Summer 2013 tour. I will be there.
