I would love to see the special agent's basketball games against guys twice his size--I've never seen a 12-foot person before.

^ Must have been an ad for the new giant movie.
Eddie and Reynold are idiots. Really doing a poor job of convincing the others Shamar needs to go.

Whole segment was great, he says 'double dribble' which is illegal and then says 'nothing but air" which in basketball vernacular means he completely missed

From the first episode thread:
I don't want to say "rigged", but does anyone wonder if the producers tend to nudge the outcome certain ways? Probst does this subtlety (and at times not so subtlely) in tribal or during a challenge "So and so is really dragging the team down", but the idol stuff is starting to make me wonder given how many times it just happens to end up in the hands of what seems like a producer (or Probst) favorite.

It seems like they put the idols in easy to find places now. Remember when they actually had multiple clues and had to wade through water in the hopes of finding one? Now it's just stick your hand in any tree that has a hole within arm's reach.
Someone remind me, did Malcolm end up using his idol last season?

3 women in a row voted out, no wonder Probst was saying this was the best season ever before it started.
Dear God I hope the storm takes out Phillip next week his schtick was annoying last time and it's just redundant again to ignore half the player and give that dude a ton of useless confessionals.

So Reynold has a nephew named Grayson?
That might be the douchiest family of all-time.

For all the build-up in the teaser all week, this episode was pretty ho-hum.
This Sharmar guy is a complete and utter dick. Did you notice when the gay guy is hi-fiving people at the beginning of the challenge and Shamar just looks at him like an idiot. And he goes off on Beard guy and Skinny Midget girl (who both my wife and I looked at each other and said "Who the fuck is that?" when she suddenly got camera time) and they were the ones who helped save this asshole.
And what's up with Sandra Bullock sucking Shamar's dick all the time. I just don't get the strategy. They all easily out number the group of three so why not let douchebag go right now?
And why is Brenda getting no air time whatsoever? Seems odd when she was such a prominent player in her season.
So far, this has to be one of the most unlikeable casts on both teams that I can remember. Other than Malcolm, there really isn't anyone I like in this entire cast...and even he is coming across poorly so far. This is gonna be a loooong season it appears.

Awesome the way Sherri trashed her employees. She's probably going to have to do some ass-shining today.

He is their strongest member by far, and they are already big underdogs in any physical challenge.

I'm glad you see the Sandra Bullock thing too -- annoys the shit out of me. Plus she's a know-it-all bitch.

I imagine she's thinking way long term and wants him by her side at the end. I don't think it's going to work though.

Edit: Next time, I'll read all the posts before replying as Brian mentioned "double dribble" in post #5.

I know it is beneficial to keep shitheads around in Survivor but I just don't think I could do it...even with a million bucks on the line...at least this early in the game. Near the end is a different story.

She just wants to keep him around as dead weight as long as she can. Keeps the focus off her. No one else is running the tribe besides her.

Sherri has outright said it ... Shamar is her Phillip. She saw the guy as someone who would be a positive in challenges, be loyal to her, but be so obnoxious that they have no chance of winning the game. Finding a Philip early on and sticking to them is a great strategy.
The problem is that Shamar seems to be something you absolutely don't want in an alliance partner ... a loose cannon. Phillip is crazy in a predictable way. Shamar will go off and yell at anyone at a moment's notice and can't keep plans to himself. I don't think this plan will work out for Sherri, but I don't fault her for trying.
And when did they drop a female race car driver into the game?

Makes sense I guess, if you have the patience. I just couldn't take some of these jokers for longer than a day...chance at a million bucks or not.
