I bought it from Amazon last weekend (02/08) for $29.99, and when I saw it as Gold Box today (02/14) for $25 I sent a quick email to them.

Received a $4.99 credit, plus $5 for my "inconvenience"
That makes up for me missing the BB deal...

I'm not sure how. I emailed them when the Three Stooges collection dropped about $20 a week after I'd purchased it. They emailed back that, while it was not their usual policy, the drop was so substantial, they were crediting my account the difference.

And thanks to the OP. Now, I've finally replaced my DVD box set of the first three DH films. Although, from the reviews of #5, the movie money Amazon is sending me to see it may not be worth much (terrible reviews).

They may look at your account, compare returns, how much you buy, etc. and make a decision that way. Just a guess.

I wouldn't worry about this (unless you want the movie money). It will be cheaper than this before an ultimate set is released after the next 2 films. It's a FOX title and they are always on sale. I picked up a copy from BB (w/ some promo codes) and will sell my old one. But I would never have bit it I didn't have promo codes about to expire.

Best Buy was $19.99 two weeks ago on Friday & Saturday and if you utilized the Upgrade & Save coupon it brought the price to $14.99.

Beware when selecting "Watch All" for the trailers and tv spots on Die Hard. My blu-ray got stuck in an endless loop and I couldn't get back to the menu. Had to eject it to watch anything else.

Received an email today from Amazon with my movie cash for GDTDH.
They had told me they couldn't offer me the movie cash when they gave me the difference plus $5 when the set was a Gold Box deal at $25 (and I had paid $29 a few days before).
