For BD's, my stores only have Hugo BD on clearance, for $8.98 I believe. One had Planes Trains and Automobiles, but my friend bought it. Lots of DVD's on clearance. I hit about 8 stores since Saturday. I bought Eagleheart S1 for $3.36. Only found one. The selection varies by store.

Beyond Gladiator and Hugo, my local Target had a stack of Event Horizon for $2.98. I also saw Footloose and a handful of other titles on DVD.

First Target I went to didn't have Gladiator but had Hugo and Event Horizon, 2nd Target I went to had Gladiator and nothing else. Finally picked up Gladiator, had been waiting on that for awhile.

Only a few Hugo's at my Target, picked one up along with Clueless. Footloose dvd was $3.90. Will be on the hunt for Gladiator at other Targets. They felt like a nice find after seeing some wal-marts are getting rid of their $7.88 bins.

Is this the original release or the fixed version? ... or is there no way to tell other than looking at the disc hub?

According to some, the hub is the only way to find out with Gladiator is the corrected version. The one I bought sported the yellow bar code and 2010 packaging date, which may be a good sign, but not a guarantee.

Picked up the last copy of Planes Trains and Automobiles (w/ slip) for $4.48. They also had a dozen copies of Hugo for $8.98.

I picked up The Ring blu-ray for $4.98 at my Target. On the shelf it was marked $7.98 but I found another copy under the actual Clearance section for the $4.98.

Went to northridge this morning, saw 1 copy of 1000 words-Eddie Murphy DVD, for $5, and 7 copies of Hugo bd, for $9. They were in the electronics section, not DVD section, and I passed on them. I did buy the proposition bd for $4.75, and almost bit on total recall bd for same price. I haven't been to target in a while, so I don't know if the $4.75 titles, which there were quite a few of, is news?

Unless you're talking about clearance, I THINK the $4.75 titles you're referring to are just the regular $5 on sale this week. If you meant to ask if the $5 blus are normal, then yes. They also have a section of $7.50 blu-ray titles.

Clearance stuff at Target is very YMMV, but many seem to have the Paramount stuff lately. Only Gladiator I saw on clearance was around $14 which was still too much (I personally thought it was an extremely overrated movie, my response was "Caligula was better.") Have gotten some good deals in the clearance sections over the past few months, like Fright Night 3D for $9, Season One of Six Million Dollar Man for about $3.75 and Mamma Mia on Blu-Ray for $3.75.

I lucked out with Planes, Trains and Automobiles BD. I checked the mobile app for in-store stock and every store within 50 miles showed out of stock, except the closest one to my home showing limited stock.

Went in and walked directly to the game clearance endcap. It was a mess and pretty bare except for a stack of some type of off brand tablet cover. I dug through them and at the bottom was the lone copy of PTA tagged $4.48 with the lenticular slipcover. Local store now shows out of stock after my purchase.

Thanks for mentioning it, otherwise I would never have looked.

That is correct. The $4.75 titles (there should be a whole display of them) are the regular $5 blus that were on sale last week.

The others were special Paramount clearance titles (Hugo, Gladiator, The Ring, PTA, Event Horizon, Sleepy Hollow, and maybe a few more). They are mostly at the 70% off level now and they most likely will not be discounted any further, so if you are interested in them and they are at 70% off already, you should get them before they're all gone.
