I guess deals could fall into 2 categories.
1) Misprices and employee screwups.
2) Deals that were actually priced low.
1a) X-Files Complete series - free at BN because of a screwup that they initiated, but worked out pretty good for me.
1b) 8 free Criterions because of a mischarge at BN
1c) Wonder Woman complete series (as well as a few other season sets) free because of a screwup at BL. (granted it was only priced at $6)
2a) 30 Rock S2 sealed, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (orig mini series), Midsomer Murder sets for $1
2b) Princess and the Frog BD, Toy Story 1,2 - for 1.99 at TRU
2c) the Chronological Donald Volume 1 for 2.92.
2d) Ben Hur gift set - 10.99. Not the best %, but great for me because it's one of the rare titles I really wanted that actually materialized into a great deal.
2d) lots of WB sets at BL during July 2009
2e) Pumping Iron II at a flea market for a buck (sold for $125)
2f) Spiderman 67 (sealed), Laugh In V1, V2 (used) - $3
I'm sure there are much more.

Mrs Danger was walking through the tumbleweeds and cactus taking pictures of wildlife when she found a perfect copy of The Simpsons season 1 lying on the sand. At the time, Fox had only released seasons 1-3, so it was a new title.

Re: your best dvd deals ever
I remember there was a Scandal involving these sets, WB had contracted a company to "dispose" of some surplus DVDs, instead they sold them to BL. WB supposedly file suit against that company, claiming they "stole" the DVDs. Was this issue ever resolved or not?

Re: your best dvd deals ever
I've always wondered that as well. If BL had never advertised those sets, WB might never have gotten wind of it. It seems like shortly after the ad appeared that they started getting pulled. And because of that, those 5 volume sets of Looney Tunes never appeared down here. Alot of the sets were also sold to resellers like peaceofmindbooks and newbury comics, who made them available before BL.

Re: your best dvd deals ever
I never heard any more after the scandal broke. I know the BL here had the sets for a while after the issue came to light, some for weeks. The better titles sold out within a day but I recall a minor restock on a few and purchased mine over the course of 3-5 days.

POTA Monkey Head FREE from DD after they screwed up. I was always willing to pay for it, if they asked. I took the Dvd's out once but never watched any of them.

Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series - $8 at a flea market, when these sets were still selling for $60+ online.
Universal Monster Legacy Set - $16 from the Amazon Marketplace. I already owned the individual sets, but this was a damn good price for the Sideshow busts alone.
The Wes Craven Collection - $2 at a pawn shop.
Eric Rohmer: Six Moral Tales box set - $6, plus and a few other Criterion titles for $4 each at Frys.com
Also, I bought dozens of used DVDs for $0.71 shipped from GoHastings when they once had a 25% code that combined with a free shipping deal -- though they shut that down pretty fast.

Re: your best dvd deals ever
The Looney Tunes box set for $10 was a highlight.
As for screw ups, WBShop has some kind of screwy Buy 2 get 1 free one time, where it didn't default to lowest priced but the last item you put in your cart (or something like that). Anyway, got the Full House Complete Series set and Sopranos Complete Series set for FREE that way.
