I think they start to reveal who is behind the documentary?

Looks like Jim will be falling flat on his face. The behind the scenes should be good when they finally realize they've been following around a bunch of do-nothing slackers for 8 years.

Obviously a big reveal at the end, but man, that fight was pretty tough to watch, one of the more realistic fights I've seen on TV.

Where I have I seen that guy who was on the camera crew?

Yeah that was oddly uncomfortable to watch.

Re: The Office -- "Customer Loyalty" -- 1/24/13

That fight was the most sincerely emotional scene the show's had in years. Fischer really sold it.

The "fire in the hole" stuff was hilarious.

I wish they weren't trying to push Pete and Erin on us, does anyone actually care? They're trying to do the original Jim and Pam thing again and it's just unnecessary. At least the Erin and Andy stuff was so stupid that I didn't take it seriously.

Nellie is actually a decent character now that they've taken her down a notch.

I'm really curious to see where the filming crew thing goes.

That's Chris Diamantopoulos, who has had a number of small roles on a number of TV series, including 24 and Up All Night. Sadly, I know him best as Moe in the recent There Stooges movie.

Long-distance love triangle between Jim, Pam, and Documentary Guy in the run up to the end?

Wow, pretty surprised to see Ben Silverman on this show this week and last. He was the freaking co-chairman of NBC, but I guess he likes acting. He was on Entourage, but he was sort of playing himself there.

He developed the show at NBC and is the EP. Not so surprising to see him in the final episodes.

Ah in that case it makes sense that he's a part of it. But the boom operator had the power to turn the almighty cameras off? Whoah.

Thought this episode had a number of funny moments. I hadn't heard anything about the "reveal" ahead of time, so the serious tone and ending came out of nowhere for me.

Yeah, breaking the fourth (fifth?) wall was pretty interesting.

I guess I get what they are doing. Jim and Pam have been the core of the show since it began. We watched them go from coworkers to lovers to parents to this season's 'biggest challenge of their lives!' But totally changing the show's tone just didn't feel right.

I had more problems with that than when the 'broke the fourth wall' and showed the documentary crew.

If the plan is for the last 12 episodes to lead up to some big reveal about what the documentary crew has been doing all along they better have something really worthy of the payoff.

I guess I'm in the minority, but boy it sucked. The only highlight for me was Toby's weird behavior. The entire fight at the end seemed oddly out of place for Jim and Pam. You can't spend eight years creating the "perfect couple" and then shit on it. It's no wonder Steve Carrell doesn't want anything to do with this mess.

Yeah, they're clearly angling for some kind of melodrama to juice up the run to the finale. Somehow, I don't think they'll go all the way with it, though. The show has just never had that much edge in it. They'll have Pam and Jim go through some angst for a few eps just so the audience (or whatever's left of it) go "omg, are they really going to separate?!" and then there will be an "awww" Hallmark moment in the finale where they kiss and make up, and walk off into the sunset. Book it.

They've both been under stress and they had a fight, I don't see how that's shitting on their relationship. With the writing the past few seasons it's actually one of the more realistic things that's happened.

I think part of the problem was that it was so badly executed. Krasinski is a one-note actor. Unless he's mugging for the camera, he's terrible.

I don't agree with that at all. I thought he held his own pretty well. Jenna Fischer nailed it but he wasn't bad by any means.

I liked this one too. Had some genuinely funny moments along with the big fight.

Well - I speculate that the last shot of the season will be Pam's big reveal of the mural she is painting in the warehouse.

It will encompass everyone in the 'office' (ala Good Times ending credits). Everyone will hug and smile.

Sorry, I thought he was laughable. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

If I'm forgetting it, someone please remind me, but I don't think Jim has ever gone off on Pam. I understand about the stress of the situation, but again, it seemed strangely out of character for him - drama for drama's sake. I would have just as easily bought Jim going on and on about his problem at work, him basically ignoring Pam's news (No "Beasley!") or underplaying it and then just hanging up as he had to go. In fact, that's what I thought they were setting up. But then it would have been difficult to justify the "reveal."

Lazy writing...
