Modern Family -- "Fulgencio" -- 1/23/13
Synopsis:
"Fulgencio" - Gloria's mom, Pilar, and sister Sonia have made the voyage from Colombia, and they come bearing traditions, baby names and a whole lot of family baggage. Meanwhile, no one seems to have confidence that Phil will be able to help with the kids' problems, but there just might be a method to his madness. And Lily has picked up some bad habits, so Mitchell and Cameron try their hardest to mind their Ps and Qs to set a good example for her, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

That might be one of the greatest endings I've ever seen.

Fucking hilarious ending. Loved it. Played brilliantly by all.
Can someone get rid of Lily already?
Her sub-sub-plot felt like filler.
In either case, a near flawless episode.

Seriously, when's the episode when they accidentally leave Lily in the Caribbean or something.
Love the episode, but the baptism scene was priceless!

I knew exactly what was going to happen the moment Phil and Claire were announced as the Godparents and the show did not disappoint. The final bumper was great as well.
Shame that Cam and Mitchell's story was so boring when they were actually well used last week.
It was weird seeing Dylan. I thought we'd finally seen the last of that stupid character.
Shame they didn't get Sandra Vergara to play Gloria's sister.

I guess they were going for the "Umberto Eco" spelling. Not sure how common that spelling is in South America though. A quick google search gave me some results, so it's not that weird.

Shouldn't Mitchell have been the godfather of the baby? I know it wouldn't work for purposes of the episode... Or do some people prefer picking a married couple? They could have also picked Gloria's sister as the godmother.

This was my thought on that - if something were to happen to Claire and Phil, Mitchell could still jump in as the step-brother.
