I loved how Boyd really didn't want Billy to mess with the snake and the look on his face after Billy put it away. It was like "Ahh, there goes another damn egg..."
I can't imagine Johnny's setting Wynn Duffy up, so how long for the world is Johnny?
Absolutely love this show! (Even liked Randall a bit. Hope he's around for most of the season.)

I'll be honest, I was feeling very iffy about this season (after a mediocre at best premiere) until this episode. Now I'm on board, no questions asked.

^^ He's close to retirement and that of course means he will get shot and/or die. It's the drama-cop rule.

I wouldn't be shocked if they built towards people thinking something bad will happen to Art and instead swerve them by having Rachel or Tim get killed.

The dialogue on this show is so incredibly well written I feel like I need to watch it again.

Damn... loved the scene with Boyd at the end. Not sure where that story arc goes from there (I imagine the hooker comes into play), but the way they tied in the henchman living through the bites was nicely done. I didn't make anything of it at the time, though in hindsight it seems rather obvious.
I kind of like how this season seems a bit less structured and that there's just a bunch of stuff that has yet to connect (and might not).
Also both the Art and Wynn Duffy characters are awesome... great complimentary characters.

That was a great episode. Got some movement on the case of the season as well as the side stuff. Seems like that theft of Raylan's money was more of a quick score deal w/ the chick than a long con. It's not like Raylan makes a ton of money, so maybe she still had feelings for her husband, they took the money and ran.

It's always great when they pair up Raylan and Tim; Tim gives him so much hell.
I love the little things Olyphant does with his performance. When Art was reprimanding Rachel for not calling backup, she says something like "Wyatt Earp over here does stuff like that all the time. Do you ever write him up?" Raylan gives this little look like "Why the hell are you dragging me into this shit?"

Funny thing is there was sort of a foreshadowing of the Wyatt Earp comment, if you remember, there was a Tombstone movie poster in Raylan's room. Also, there was a Venom poster when Boyd's henchman was sitting there on the table with the snake on his face.

Somebody is definitely going to die, and I think it's Tim. I hate it, but I think it's Tim. Both Rachel and Art would be so damned obvious based on what they're doing with the characters.

One of the best scenes of the series was from season 2, episode 2 "The Life Inside", when Raylan and Tim go to save the pregnant girl and Raylan describes "the apricot" to the thug before Tim hits him right there.

I still think Art bites it... which is going to allow the writers to introduce a new character -- and thus clash with Raylan.

If he retires, they get to intro a new boss and keep Art around. Killing Art is too cliche for this show. It's Tim.
