Recommended Films For Toddlers?
So I have a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter and I really want them to grow up loving movies as much as I do. Any recommendations? My 3 year old is currently besotted by COURAGE OF LASSIE from 1946 although I personally think at there is too much war in it for her.

None. Don't make the same mistake we did, hold off any videos as long as you can.
Especially garbage like the Baby Einstein.

Can you say more about that, milo?
Our toddler daughter loves anything with dogs / puppies so she likes scenes from Up and The Adventures of Tin Tin.

When my daughter was three I showed her Shirley Temple movies, including HEIDI (1937). And when she was four, she was entranced by SON OF GODZILLA.

We were going to be totally screen free but somebody bought us the Baby Einstein set and we thought they would be educational but they'd simpy not.
Read, read, read.
Hold off on any movies as long as you can, there will be plenty of time.

don't turn your kid into a pussy.
Play a large variation of films. Musicals, or films with music, Classic films, Foreign films, etc.
Don't just fill it's head with shite.

Re: Recommended Films For Toddlers?
I was profoundly touched as a child by 'The Red Balloon'. As a young kid I knew (or at least though I knew) what the film was telling me. I remember crying as well.
People who fill their kids heads with freakin' Barney (or whatever the hell is hot right now) miss so much when they don't try to dig a bit deeper.
But what do I know, only people with children can comment on raising children because only they know best, or at least that's what I've been told.
