In fairness, Amazon's price WILL drop. They'll match whatever BB or Target's price is. If S1 is any indication, $34.99 is the likely price. So this FYE price isn't gonna huge a HUGE savings in the long run... But definitely a price that won't be beat. I may cancel it, if there are good bonus discs coming...

There's a $2.99 budget shipping option (probably "media mail") for those who are interested.

Exclusive 20 Minute Interview with George R.R. Martin about Season 2, the writing of Episode 9, new characters and much more!
I think a lot of ppl are assuming that BBY will have the exclusive covers like last year. There have already been some pics of excl. covers pop up from other sites in other countries.

Those dickheads. Mine is cancelled as well. Oh well, hopefully somewhere decent will have it for at least $35...but I would definitely take it for less.

I'm gonna hold out for some custom slipcovers from Best Buy. My Targaryen Edition still looks pretty cool.

I feel like I'm getting scammed, my email filter is suspicious of all emails from FYE. Additionally, I wasn't able to login to the site to view the order status with the email address I used on the order. Got "we don't have an account associated with this email address" message when trying to log in.
Of course I did get an order notice email back on Monday.

Same here. I just sent them a one-line response: This type of thing is the reason I stopped paying $25 per year for a membership.

Normally, I agree with this kind of statement, but here I disagree that this is an obvious pricing mistake. I'll bet you ten bucks that we'll see this sent at $35 or so by release day. This isn't that far out of line with recent prices for S1 or other HBO blu-ray sets.

On the other hand, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, etc. had Season One BD in the $35-$40 price range. I know, because I picked up some of the exclusive editions for around that price (and FYE's was just a 'regular' edition).
If it had been $12.99 rather than $27.99, I would call that an "obvious" pricing mistake. Not offering something for a few bucks less (after factoring in tax) than Amazon will likely have it. And that was with getting free budget shipping from FYE. If you want to see examples of really OBVIOUS price mistakes, go read the WBShop thread.
But you are also right in that FYE seems to rely upon uninformed buyers who are willing to pay $10 more for used copies of sets than brand-new copies will cost elsewhere, so I highly doubt that they lament the loss of any customers who actually watch their budgets.
Best Buy has "Camelot" Season One listed today at $44.99. On Wednesday it was $17.99. Do you also call that an "obvious" price mistake? Or a temporary (one-day) advertised deal?
