Fringe -- Series Finale -- "Liberty and An Enemy of Fate" -- 01/18/13

I know I'm early getting this started, but figured with a great new trailer and plenty to discuss from 4 seasons we'd be okay!

http://youtu.be/NLVWIFhLhKk

I watched a trailer for season one and Olivia had a joke line to Broyles about "when I cross universes".

Really going to miss his show, especially John Nobel as Walter.

I decided to not watch any trailer. I watched the promo after the episode ended last week, and it showed too much already.

But yeah, I can't wait. I will probably cry a little too.

Re: Fringe -- Series Finale -- "Liberty and An Enemy of Fate" -- 01/18/13

Bump for tonight!

Any lingering questions or plot points people are hoping get answered?

I don't expect an answer, but I always wondered about Peter's shadowy past that was alluded to early in S1.

Would be great to get an altverse or reset cameo of John Scott.

Want to see Broyles again!

My predictions:

I expect to see the scene where ...
Spoiler:
Peter, Olivia and little Etta are in the park playing and the Observers simply don't pass thru .... and they lived happily ever after. Confidence is 95%

I also expect ...
Spoiler:
Walter will die. They have telegraphed it, but it could be a red herring, so my confidence is 75%

I am excited to watch it, but dreading it at the same time.

I cannot believe it's over.

This season has been so good it's almost made me forgive Fox for Fox News, let alone Firefly.

Glad we got 5 years and 100 episodes.

I wonder if this show never left Tuesday at 9pm where it would be today. IMO, they probably would have stayed longer in present time instead of the huge time jump to 2036.

Moving it to Friday where pretty much everyone DVRs the show instead of watching it live killed it unfortunately.

Fringe: September's Notebook

Fringe: September’s Notebook is a 192-page hardback notebook overflowing with September’s handwritten observations, covert photographs, personal sketches and musings, as well as extensive FBI case files and hyper-detailed Massive Dynamic intel.
I think it'll list for $25.

Bravo! Well done!

Can't wait for Season 5 on Blu.

Spoiler:
... and I don't think Whidmark made it out alive. That was quite a splat. I wonder where he ended up?

Oh, that and I loved the walk down memory... err, nightmare lane with all the FotW recaps from seasons past. Yuck!

I love you, dad.

*sob*

That was such a great finale, but it was the little character moments like that which really got to me.

I am going to miss this show so so much.

Oh my god that was awesome! Loved it. Gonna have to update my favorite series finale list. Not exactly sure where it falls yet, though. Def top 5.

Loved it....

The only thing missing - from a purely personal viewpoint - was an appearance by Georgina Haig...

Really enjoyed this show, upset that it's over. Will definitely pick up the full blu series set (which I assume is in the works). Glad I stuck through the first season, wasn't sure I was going to love the show but it quickly turned into one of my favorites.

Re: Fringe -- Series Finale -- "Liberty and An Enemy of Fate" -- 01/18/13

Damn, that was a satisfying ending to a great series! I'm pretty emotionally wiped out, but in a good way.

Spoiler:
that final conversation between Walter and Peter, where Walter tells Peter "You are my favorite ever thing" - damn if that didn't bring on the water works. The last 8 or so minutes were equally emotional.

Going to miss the show something fierce, but at least I don't have the same bad taste in my mouth from the way Lost went out.

Awesome finale. Pretty much how most of us expected it. Back in their timeline with no observer invasion.

So are we to assume that the tulip that Walter sent Peter somehow triggered a memory of everything? Sure seemed like it on his face.

No, Walter told Peter that he had begged God for a sign of forgiveness, a white tulip. It was Walter's way of saying he wasn't haunted by his past anymore and that he'd found redemption. Peter's look was fear and anger because he knew in that moment Walter was gone.

t least that's how I read it.

Just finished Liberty, loved the apartment number Donald entered was 513, the episode number of the series finale getting ready to begin.
