mvieguy, do you know if there is any truth to the rumors about Argo and Silver Linings Playbook being pushed back into March because of the Oscars?

It might make sense for Argo, not that I want to wait regardless, because it just might beat Lincoln for Best Picture.

But only the actress from Amour can upset Jessica Chastain and the film has no prayer (although it's a great film) to win anything one might think would give it an "Oscar bump."

Cloud Atlas is Warner, not Fox

Mao and/or mvieguy, have either of you heard anything even "unofficial" about Silver Linings Playbook? Please let this one not slip into May or June.

Thanks.

Last heard, it was sometime in March...as soon as it loses most of its Oscar bids, it'll be out pretty quickly.

Are you seeing how crowded March is? The 19th/22nd is one of the most expensive and crowded days for either big name releases or medium sized ones.

March 19-
All Together
Bachelorette
Fred Won't Move Out*
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey*
The Other Son
Price Check
Rust And Bone
Sassy Pants
Zero Dark Thirty

March 22-
This Is 40

Also, Life of Pi earlier in the month, Les Mis likely also in March and Lincoln at the end of March.

I'm already surprised one or more of these films didn't move out to April, but do you really think there's room for SLP in March still?

You can add Hyde park on Hudson for April 9th and Unconfirmed Django Unchained for April 16th

Latest Rumor is that Mama is coming in late April. Hansel and Gretel is coming in Mid April

that seems weird that paramount would release all these major titles in
april and not spread them out more.

Windows are Shrinking. they are down to 2 or 3 months per

which is why Reacher is early April and Hansel and Gretel are Mid to late April
