Frys 1$ Movies

I was in a Frys browsing around and noticed some dvds with 1$ signs, picked up the following... Some look to be the same price on their website

-Retrograde (Dolph)
-The Donner party
-The Proposition (Guy Pearce) (Steelbook)
-Eye See You (Steelbook)
-Hard Cash (Steelbook)
-Animal (Ving Rhames)
-The River King (Ed burns)
-Direct Contact (Dolph)
-Command Performance (Dolph)
-Shade (Stallone)
-A gentlemans game (Gary Sinise)

They had a bunch more like Stranded with Vincent Gallo and some others i dont recall

Re: Frys 1$ Movies

Also saw:
Bone Snatcher (steelbook)
Crazy as Hell (steelbook)
Trauma (steelbook)
Wolves of Wall St.
Shadow of Fear
Miranda
Storm Cell
Cyborg Soldier
Vampire Clan/Ring of Darkness

There were a ton of $1 titles and most (if not all) of them were from First Look. I bought about 13. I was trying to be selective . These 3 SB's though were in a dump bin near the front that I almost ignored. Damn I can't believe I missed the Proposition. Don't know if it's worth the drive or not ....

Here's a list of $1 First Look titles on Frys.com that you can probably find instore (YMMV). Some of these have also been showing up at Dollar Tree stores.

Frys.com $1 First Look DVDs

I recommend Triangle with Melissa George if you haven't seen it yet.

Freeze Frame isn't bad either, although it falls apart at the end.

Not all of these had signs indicating they are 1.00, so they may not all be. I know for sure that Date with Drew and Dead Girl did not have signs in front of them, but I did nto try to ring them up. I would've bought Labor Pains BD for 2.99, but it was marked 5.00 in the store .. oh well.

Weird, looks like the prices have all gone up on the $1 titles on their website. Not sure if the deal is still available instore, but maybe this was a limited time offer.

Re: Frys 1$ Movies

Many of these are 1.00 (maybe only today .. it may be part of their one-day sale) available for instore pickup.

FYI, steelbooks that are 1.00 are:
Trauma
Eye Can See You
Crazy as Hell
King of the Ants
Bone Snatcher

Re: Frys 1$ Movies

The $1 signs in the store say the sale runs through January 10.

BTW, if the Frys website price is listed as $1, the DVD should ring up at that price instore. I took a few $3 - $5 DVDs to the checkout that didn't have the $1 price sign next to them but were listed as $1 on the website and they all rang up for a buck.

Re: Frys 1$ Movies

All the steelbooks have been marked down to $1. Also alot of Roger Corman films were marked $1.50 and Spring Break for $2.00.

Re: Frys 1$ Movies

I thought this was a new thread.... I just found out about these on Sunday while I was in the store. They had multiple copies of a lot of these titles at the Burbank, Ca store. No sale tags, but they were all marked at $1.

So these have been marked $1 and just sitting on the shelf since January? Wow. That's not good.

Immortal (steelbook) is still $5.99... That's the only one I couldn't find in the recent dollar tree shipment

They were only on sale for $1 in January for about a week. They went back up to $5 until last week. They will possibly go back up again.

I really dug Freeze Frame. I agree that the ending was weak, but I'd still recommend it overall. It's still $1.
