Do the best directors get laid a lot?
I'm just curious does it improve a director's ability to do his shit? I mean of course, getting laid makes one more peopley so ipso facto they should be able to work with people and crews a lot more, case in point, Tarantino isn't married but he's had a couple of gfs and makes pretty groovy movies subsequently, however Coppola has been married from the get-go yet also makes groovy movies. Then there's Leone who's been on poon patrol and only until he got married did he even direct his first movie. Kubrick also got married early on and has made movies from then on out. I ask because does it aid in how their work comes off? The ones who had marriages typically just made more straight-forward structured things while the hounds were making zany shit. Scorsese is like the midpoint.

Oh i forgot about actors too like DeNiro/Pacino who never really got married, just tail here and there.
On the other hand there's DDL who didn't get married till the 90s. I read Eli Wallach's bio, he got some tail around ww2 in hawaii and then married 1 till even now, i guess he remained very much stable but ended up in the greatest role ever. And no idea about Hitchcock but he seems to be the structured sort.

The job of a director is to manipulate people into acting the way he wants. The best directors are really good at it. I figure that getting women into bed is pretty easy for them.

I don't know that it has to do with being a good director. I doubt Hitchcock got a lot of ass. You just know he ruined lots of chances by blatantly pointing to every potential lay that he had cock in his name.
