Looks like these last episodes will be completely hit or miss.
Altho this was WAY better than last weeks overly schmaltzy wedding episode it was still nowhere near as good as 2 weeks ago.
Elaine Stritch is a comedy god and it was nice to see them wrap up her storyline and go out on a high note.
I like how they are bringing back all of the ongoing characters and wrapping up their story arcs. I just wish the writing was as consistently high as it used to be.
Funny cameo by Gayle King talking about Oprah. Too bad her face and makeup was so distracting I couldn't concentrate on what she was saying. Can't tell if that was bad plastic surgery or the lighting!

Elaine Stritch's performance seemed off this season... several times throughout her scenes she would look directly into the camera, like she was delivering a punchline on Laugh-In. I'm not sure if it was intentional or an age thing or what, but it just distracted the hell out of me.
Despite a handful of funny moments here and there, I just disliked this episode as a whole. Instead of going out on a high note, this shows seems to be running on fumes.

Not sure why this is getting ho-hum reviews. I thought this was the funniest episode in a long time. (If I rewatch it within the day, it's usually pretty good).
