The incoherent way they jumped around the timeline, I think the writers and producers may have been sampling some of that drug. This is devolving into stupid.

I gave up on this show by episode 3... but damn, that cast photo in the OP has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen in my life.

Way too many shows try this.

But this episode was better than I thought it would be from the preview.

If you're going to drug them, why not just shoot/sink the crew/sub?

If the XO is going to hallucinate his wife, why is she not naked?

The time jumps got really confusing after awhile but it wasn't a bad episode.

I thought for the sort of story they were attempting, it was well done. I do agree that I'd like to see the wife naked, though.

That cast photo really is horrid.

I reserve judgment on the why drug them that way question, though really what they managed to do in taking the key is far better than sinking the sub. That sub is a very expensive asset and a strategic part of the nation's defense. If you can neutralize the nuclear threat in that manner, of course you do it instead of getting rid of an expensive piece of equipment.

Found a different publicity photo for OP. (See OP now) Still photo shopped as hell, but at least Robert Patrick is in it now and they aren't just standing static on some generic set.

Yeah, that's a slight improvement. I don't think we were bagging on you, though, just the skills displayed by somebody for that photo.

I was really worried about this episode from the previews, but the overall plot turned out much better than expected.

Too many hallucinations, though. I think that (and the time jumps) weakened the episode.

Both on the island and the sub, the bad guys should obviously disarm, imprison or kill the good guys, and take command of the sub. With the captain out (and the launch key taken) the sub can't launch and there is no threat. The entire task force should move in. Of course, the show would be over. I think they might have jumped the shark.

As aminimum, the sleeper should have imprisoned everyone on the sub and driven it out to the task force, not just taken the captain's launch key. Doesn't launch take two keys, the captain's and the XO's?

Re: Last Resort -- "Another Fine Navy Day" -- 11/08/12

Finally caught up with this show. Watched the last 2 episodes last night.

The episode was 2 weeks ago was great. And I thought the story for this episode was interesting, but I don't think the non-linear format really worked.

They have been hinting for awhile that Sam and Sophie might have a thing going. I guess being under the influence of a hallucination gas was one way to hook them up.
