This is heartbreaking. Jerry Gaskill, the drummer in King's X, and his wife have lost their home and almost all their personal possessions in the aftermath of Sandy. This comes on the heels of Jerry almost dying from a massive heart attack earlier this year.

What's wrong with wanting to help out a person specifically? Judging from the comments, people want to give back to a guy whose music affected them on a personal level.

True, but he almost died earlier this year and I would suspect that he isn't exactly rolling in dough. He may very well have some rather large medical bills to pay and now losing his home and just about everything else on top of that?

I don't fault anyone for wanting to help him specifically.
