Frank Spotnitz is the creator and showrunner. He also worked on the 1st Cinemax season of Strike Back as a writer/producer.

I'm watching. Cinemax didn't let me down with Strike Back, so I'm hoping this will help fill the void.

Same here. They have another action show "Banshee" airing in January right after this ends. 3 straight Friday night action shows.

I've seen the first 3 episodes on brutish TV. It's good stuff and gorgeous to look at.

Yeah, the Alan Ball one. That sounds more drama than action to me, but I'll watch that too.

I like the premise and story potential, but the hand held style cameria crap gets REALLY annoying.

I don't mind shaky cam, but the choice of shots and editing of this show are fucking TERRIBLE. It makes it borderline unwatchable for me... I felt like Wally Pfister watching The Avengers trying to get through this one. Inexplicable why you'd film with such awkward framing....and a snails pace to the setup. I'll watch 1 or 2 more, but I'd be surprised if this holds my interest.

The scene with the hypodermic to the eye was a bit much for me. First time I've yelled "SHIT!!!" at a shocking image in a long time. The history of George's character and the presence of the kid has me concerned that this could turn in to a "Woman on Fire" type series, if you get that connection.

I'd like more scenes with the supporting cast, the main character just isn't very interesting when not spy mode.

FYI
For those planning to record the remaining 7 episodes on your DVR, apparently they are being sent the air dates from the British TV airings. So, your DVR is probably going to assume the remaining episodes are repeats. I believe the UK airings are 3 weeks ahead of Cinemax.

Well the good thing is that it being on the network it is, even if DVR misses it, it will be several times during the week and On Demand.

Liked it. Totally different than I was expecting. I was expecting more of a Burn Notice thing, where they tried to kill her and she was going after revenge.

Yeah, it's pretty good so far. And it's got Morven Christie in it - the Scottish Piper Perabo - so I'm in!

I liked it too. I don't understand MDC3000's rant about the framing. It looked fine to me. I thought the hand to hand combat and action scenes were shot fine. Melissa George is kind of small in stature, but her fight scenes were believable.

I especially enjoyed the recovery/training sequences. So I guess we're playing a guessing game on which member of Sam's team could be the traitor who tried to have her killed.

Re: Hunted -- Premiere: From X-Files Producer Frank Spotnitz -- "Mort" -- 10/19/12

Stennis looks a little exhausted from his encounters with Mellisandre.

I like Melissa George and knew she could handle the physical action/running since seeing her in that great little Scottish action flick about the climbers who discover something in the woods (the name escapes me for the moment), but I'm not buying her fighting skills just yet.

I guess seeing Haywire has ruined me for the moment with hand-to-hand fightin' chicks. Gina Carano is a hard act to follow.

And why do the bad guys always let her get so close...do they just underestimate her because of her gender?

It was called A Lonely Place to Die. Didn't she have fight scenes in Alias. I can't recall.

She did have fight scenes in Alias. She's had action based roles before and handled herself quite well. The two previously mentioned, as well as on the ABC show 'Thieves' some years back.
