Synopsis:

Spoiler:
"Captain" - Five hundred feet beneath the ocean's surface, the crew of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine "USS Colorado" - the most powerful nuclear submarine ever built -- receive their orders. Over a communications channel designed only to be used if the U.S. homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire nuclear weapons at a foreign country. Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) demands confirmation of the orders, only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty. XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also demands confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is fired upon and hit. The submarine and its crew, honorable patriots, now find themselves crippled on the ocean floor and declared rogue enemies of their own country, on the premiere of "Last Resort," THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Watched the pilot online last week and like it quite a bit. Will definitely tune in for more episodes.

The production on this seems good as it doesn't look super cheap like Revolution and it has a group of actors that seems to gel much better.

The writing and casting on a television show can make or break it. This one, from the pilot, seems to fit into the former category.

This show is one I'm really looking forward to. The actors, writers, and producers are all people I trust to do quality work.

Second new show I'm watching, first one was Revolution. The other new one I'm watching is the one with Locke.

This seems to be the best of the three, or at least the reviews seem to show that.

Watched online preview and gotta say it was FANTASTIC! This is my favorites of all the pilots I've seen this season with Elementary a close second. I'm in for this.

Robert Patrick didn't make the promo shot...wth! j/k - really looking forward to this one. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the only new network show I end up sticking with (assuming it stays on the air).

Out of all the new shows this fall, this is the only one I was really excited about. I dunno, but it just seemed like this year's crop of new shows were really weak. So far, my early expectations have played out as I thought they would. None of the new shows I've seen have blown me away.

I'm really hoping this one does it. Good cast, good crew, interesting concept.

It's a whole different type of intensity compared to The Shield's first episode, but it is right up there with it.

Good to see Autumn Reeser and Dichen Lachman back on tv. Second time seeing the pilot. Not sure what the guy hopes to accomplish by kidnapping two of the crew. He is on an island and I doubt there are lots of places to hide.

Damn good pilot. Idk how they can make a 22 episode season about this, but then again, i'm sure we all said the same thing about Lost too.

I really liked this. Assuming it's not cancelled, I'm wondering how it will be an ongoing series, but I will definitely be along to find out. My one quibble with the plot was why the captain was about to self destruct the ICBM when he thought the bombers weren't going to turn around, when he had it targeted off shore anyway.

I didn't want to pick up yet another series when I already think I watch too much TV!! Oh well...
