I'm looking to buy a dvd player and i want the best i can get for about $200 that will also play cd-r's.. thanks

If you didnt say 'Will play CD-Rs' i would definitely Choose Toshiba SD1200

I beleive Pioneer is the only brand currently that does play CD-R's. In which case you should look at the Pioneer DV-333. It's their entry level player and has got pretty good feedback.
