While attending a party at James Franco's house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and many other celebrities are faced with the apocalypse.

Hell of a comedic cast...also starring Emma Watson, Aziz, Kevin Hart, Jason Segal, Michael Cera, etc.

IMDB page. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245492/)

It's like a who's who of the most divisive comedic actors today (i.e., Franco, Rogen, Baruchel and Cera)

It's basically the same group of guys that have been making increasingly unfunny comedies for the last 7 or 8 years...with Emma Watson thrown in.

could've sworn we had a thread for this already...

I hope this movie's title won't result in a name change for Edgar Wright's "The World's End."

Looks great!

This could be fun if you ask me. Paul Rudd and Jason Segel are both pretty great and Emma Watson is a great actress plus nice to look at. Seth Rogen is really hit and miss to me. The rest of the cast is sorta okay too.

This is great that they are all playing themselves and having fun with it

Can we turn off autoplay?

I was pretty unimpressed with the trailer but with the cast I'm hoping that when I see it it anyway and I'll like it despite my initial reaction.

First, fuck that auto-play video.

Second, rotfl McBride killed it.

That was funny. Glad to see McBride around. Seems like it's been awhile.

Danny Mcbride could probably make the reading of a phone book funny.

It would be cooler if it was a zombie apocalypse and the lesser known stars turned on the bigger name stars & tossed them to the zombies to get away. Kind of like Shane & Otis in The Walking Dead.

The lesser known stars could be thinking that they can kill off the big name stars so when the zombie apocalypse ends they will be the only actors left in the world.

Speaking of that kind of thing (lesser/bigger name), it is HIGH TIME that Tom Cruise did something like he did in Tropic Thunder again.

Saw this a couple weeks ago, over all pretty good. Everybody has fun playing off their public persona, nobody takes too big of a ball beating. If you like the people involved you probably won't be disappointed.

Not sure how he can top that. I fucking love that movie.

It's not about topping that, but doing more comedic stuff like that would be fun.

I just think it's an odd choice for these actors to be bringing out two movies with the same plot in the same summer.

Just dropping these from the other thread into this one... Lets make keep this the only one in play.

I hope this isn't as goddamn dumb and pointless as 'The Watch' - that bored me to sleep.

I just watched a trailer on Moviepilot with Emma Watson saying it's a zombe invasion but the trailers in this thread show aliens and monsters. So which is it aliens or zombies?

What other film like this is coming out? I don't recall seeing a trailer for anything with a similar premise to this.

Solid Snake PAC

I think he's talking about The World's End. I'm not sure what he means by "these actors" though.

Mike86
05-19-13, 12:53 PM
The World's End isn't even really that similar in premise though. The titles are kind of close but that's about it.

There's two threads for this film, and the one with the wrong title keeps getting bumped.
