I knew Russell had a trick up his sleeve. Hope Meloni can find a way back to Law and Order.

That said, if it weren't for that storyline, I most likely wouldn't be watching this season. I couldn't care less about Terry and Arlene, or the shifters, faeries, werewolves, and whatever Lafayette is at this point. They need to narrow this stuff down big time.

Melon didn't go splat right off the bat. Wonder if the Lilith blood is giving him a bit of resistance. Someone will yank out the stake before he explodes, I imagine.

Meloni is in the mains credits, no way he's dead.

Also, I love Russell Edgington.

That was easily the best episode of the season and may have been the best episode from the past 2 seasons. Even the wolf pack stuff was somewhat interesting.

I'm guessing all Vampires aren't created equal when in comes to strength. Since Tara was seemingly getting the better of Jessica. I remember Eric commenting in that Flashback that Bill was very strong for his age.

Yeah, even though most of us could see that ending coming down Main Street, it was great. The show is SO much better with Denis O'Hare...hope he's the focus for the rest of the season.

^ It seems he will at least be such for next week's ep. I am thinking that there were more conspirators with Russell in the Authority than the woman who freed him, as none of them seemed anxious or made a move to help Roman.

Any guesses on who killed Sookie's parents? I'm guessing Bill...or at least we're supposed to think that it was?

I tend to agree, but ...
Spoiler:
based off what is said in the next episode's trailer, he's dead

I reckon that we'll see more of Roman in flashbacks.

So...
Spoiler:
Nora was hoping to get captured so that Eric and Bill would be forced to hunt down Russell and thus get him to take out Roman? Something doesn't jive, as Russell was supposed to be sedated/restrained by the silver in his system, yet he seemed to have full power. I'm thinking the Peter Mensah character is part of the group that wants him in power.

Well, don't know if they're sticking to the books or not but in the books it's...
Spoiler:
not Bill.

I couldn't agree with you more. You can also add Hoyt's emotional downward spiral to the list of worthless storylines too.

Good episode, but with the vampire sucking on Hoyt getting killed with a wooden bullet, as well as Roman getting staked, it makes me wonder why vampires don't just wear stainless steel chainmail all the time in order to protect their hearts. Then they would be practically invincible.

Russell, Russell, Russell!!!!!

I love that guy. I am so glad he's back, and will throw Roman under the bus for him any day. Next week's episode looks like a great time. Can't wait.

The black guy was in it, he murdered the witnesses that saw the lady.

Re: True Blood -- "Hopeless" -- 7/15/12

So was it Nora that saved Russell or the the Autority chick that keeps giving the suspicious looks?

I don't know why I'm finding this Authority thing so confusing?

They somehow managed to make the Wolves really interesting this week even though the other storylines really drag for me especially Terry and whatever he's involved in.

Its the Authority Chick, that much was made clear when Northman was talking to his sister.

Re: True Blood -- "Hopeless" -- 7/15/12

I suspect that the various members of the Authority have different agendas.

Some are mainstreamers like Roman, some are Sanguinistas, and others are probably following their own agendas like Russell, and they're all manipulating each other to their own ends.

Seems to be someone who knows about her fairiness. That would put Bill and Russell at the top of the suspects list.

It would be a pretty ballsy move to have the killer be Bill.

This.

Could someone please explain to me all this vampire politics stuff? I think I dozed off earlier in the season when it was so dull and now I am lost at who is who and what is what.

Thank God! I thought I was stupid.

Sometimes I think I get it, but later I have no idea how it works.
